I have been practicing the four chords from lesson seven I think it is. I play them two or three times a day and am getting to the point where I can keep my crazy ring finger from destroying the sound. Now I'm working on playing the chords faster. I'm determined to get these down well enough to play some real songs. Great lessons!

Ok. So is the 2nd chord an Em7 or a G? Wow, that is a tough one. Only one note separates the two chords, the E note in Em not present in the G major. So which is it? The first hint that this is G major all through is the common sense one. Does it make sense to play Em7 sometimes and play G major other times? Maybe? Most live videos of this song have the camera cutting so much, you cannot tell what that second chord is. However, the performance at Sirius XM clearly shows that it is a G major chord throughout.

Hey Subhan! You can do most courses on acoustic yes. The only thing that is tricky on acoustic vs elec is string bending, and of course the lack of overdrive. Other than that, the same scales, techniques and lessons largely apply thr same to both instruments :)
