Fun fact: The spaghetti bath scene is based off an animatronic display at Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum of a man eating spaghetti in a bath tub full of it
So this is pretty interesting, in the song taken for a ride, I think its written by Andrew (and maybe sung by him too idk) and mentions riding an elevator up 15 flights, this episode takes place in Andrew's dream, he's in an elevator, and there are 15 skits, one for each flight. I think thats really cool
honestly, i think the fandom is sleeping on this episode. it’s a bit more somber than the rest, especially towards the end, but i think that has to do with its theming. i mean, the episode revolves around Taken For a Ride, which has some pretty surreal lyrics, so it makes sense. the imagery is beautiful at times, and it ends on a much darker note thematically. i believe Joe said this was one of his favorite episodes, and i can totally see why.
The backward part is (I think) Joe saying (not singing) the beginning lyrics to Tally Hall's Taken for a Ride. Listening to it backward made me feel uneasy, but anyways... He said: "Marvin walked into a helpless land. And wondered lightly am I happy? Is this happy? Following the footsteps left by man. He stepped to reprimand the mystic. Who's sadistic. Took a step into the elevator. Who said guess I'll see you later. Don't you worry. Fifteen flights that lasted nights. And days that spent without a cent. For creatures, with their beat shirts."
Liv On Neptune I screenshotted both frames when the screen was flashing after that red eye and both pictures were all of the lyrics to Taken For a Ride.
This should really be pinned, or (Epilepsy Warning) in the title. It's one of the worst cases of flashing lights I've seen in a long time, and gave me an uneasy after a few seconds of it, let alone those who could have seizures.

This entire episode is actually the song but without the song part. The elevator dream lasts 15 transitions, 15 skits, 15.. flights, that lasted nights and days?
The music video for this episode was shot and mostly edited and shown at a music festival but never made it into the show. I don't know why, although, out of all the Tally Hall videos, it is my least favourite, still good, though.
what's with Andrew and penguins, there's that part in the "Good Day" music video where he's a kid's channel host talking about peinguins, and there's also him saying "want to go see the peinguins?" in this.
The text at 6:30 is just lyrics for Taken for a ride: Marvin walked into a helpless land, and wondered lightly: am I happy? Is this happy? Following the footsteps left by man. He stepped to reprimand the mystic (Who's sadistic) Took a step into the elevator Who said "guess I'll see you later Don't you worry!" Fifteen flights that lasted nights and days that spent without a cent for creatures, with their beat shirts. Listening to painted whispered light on top Forgotten Hills Next the stranded senate of the white brick house with flowers asked some questions for their story All feeling now he took his bow and left the stage of time with no answers to no questions Lonely paperbacks that wanted just a taste of feeling to implode them before living tiptoed to the wooden sign and said. "Now take your place in line for happy This is lovely" Listening to painted whispered light on top Forgotten Hills One secondary smile to go that extra mile. To make me feel today to make it go away. The chemistry is gone taken for a ride.
Taken for a ride is a song written by Andrew and mentions going up a bunch of elevators this episode is titled taken for a ride just like the song and in this episode Andrew dreams about going up a bunch of elevators. also if you pause it at the right time at 6:31 and 6:33 the lyrics of Taken for a ride appear.

WE NEED A BANANA MAN ANIME... A BANANIME
Fun fact: The spaghetti bath scene is based off an animatronic display at Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum of a man eating spaghetti in a bath tub full of it
Wow that's really interesting
Knew about the display but never made the connection, neat
You can also see a poster of it during Andrew's monologue in Death Request!
also it was in the art for mmmm
the escalation from “did one of the guys in the band say something?” to “did both of your parents just die?” is really funny to me.
This is my favorite Anime
