This cb was amazing. Just like "the album" they released a teddy formula single (hylt/pink venom) and then a fresh title track formula free (lovesick girls/shut down). This time the album is more fresh and filled with different genres and shut down quickly became my favorite bp track. About the people shading bp, it wasn't only haters, but blinks too. Many blinks were mad or dissatisfied with their management, artistic freedom and discography and I think thay had all the rights to be mad. There is a fine line to never be crossed tho, hating the girls instead of hating the company.

Shut down has many meanings, one of which refers to the end of Blackpink's combeck, where Blackpink's contract will expire right next year, it can be seen from their teaser which has lots of posters of their songs, for example boombayah, whistle, until yesterday's newest song, they were pink venom.😭😭😭
The MV seems to be their way of saying, “Get ready for the NEW BP era”. It’s a goodbye to the old Blackpink, & dawning in, the NEW Blackpink. They are in a “storage facility”. Each container, holds a song, & an era. The act of SHUTTING DOWN the doors on it. Means they are leaving behind the old, they are doing a final shut down on the past songs, records, awards, haters, & drama, of each era.
When they go UP the elevator, they leave behind their past successes. They then enter into a NEW, EMPTY facility. Meaning, a new beginning, new songs, new eras, new drama, & a new Blackpink.
