Also, ''don't'' throw out the Water (aka) ''Raisin Water'' that you have leftover - after Soaking & draining them : ) This 'water' can also be used in your Baking. I use it instead of plain water that a recipe calls for next time I bake something. If I'm not baking something 'soon' ... I will freeze the Raisin Water in a Ziplock Bag & put in freezer : ) I learned quite a few NEW tips etc !! ... Great Video btw ! tfs : )

When baking or cooking using alcohol may not be in everyone’s panty. It’s not in mine nor am I going to go out and grab a bottle for a measure of this or that. However, on hole this video did have me taking notes. Thank you for sharing.
I'm not sure how much heat a toothpick would conduct but if you cook that tater long enough to burn that wood, your tater won't be edible! Just poke some holes with a fork and it won't be an issue. 😁
I would like to know who was your grandparents.? Alot of this stuff I never heard of as a kid and some of it only now as a 70s year old, and we were poor.
You can also rub the rim of the pot with butter or another fat, to keep pots from boiling over.

Store unwashed berries in a glass jar in the fridge to extend their life. Store salad mix in glass jars as well.

You have an amazing illustrator👏👏👏👀
Thank you! Cheers!
All you have to do is put a wet paper towel next to your cutting board when cutting onions.

HONORABLE MENTION :
WHEN COOKING BRUSSELS SPROUTS & TURNIPS ADD 1 TSP VINEGAR TO KILL "BITE"
COOK CORN WITH SHUCK ON FOR ENHANCED FLAVOR
Potatoes do not remove salt., u have to make another batch of soup without salt, combine two. This is the only way you will lessen over salting
I tried it. Doesn't work.
When put toothpick in potato why does not toothpick burn

If burning is a concern ... soak the toothpicks in water beforehand ... like you do with wooden skewers
Use a stainless steel "potato nail" to help conduct heat into the potato. Not for microwave.
Swap them for chocolate chips.Much better.
Can I use anything other than vodka? Also bay leaves kill mice cause they can't swallow them.
He taste and put back same spoon in pot eww not sanitary 😢😢
