Really like your series of paddle up :-). I have almost the same setup (just 186 wing instead of the 156). I wonder did you try changing the placement of the mast of the foil? I haven't find the sweet spot yet but it does make a big difference where you put it. I am also not there yet but keep trying anyway. Keep those vids coming, I really would like to see you fly some time.

Thank you for your kind words. I didn`t play too much around with the mast, because I thought I need to work on my paddling first. But at some point, I will try to play with that as well. So let`s hope we can both soon fly!

    Bonsoir Marvinho
    Bon courage
    Xav

Congrats, that looks great. I wonder if a negative mast shim could be helpful, so you don't push the nose down as much? I've got a 7'6 Hipe Cruz and the same foil as you but Aurelien just convinced me to try a larger one :)

yeah, I think a bigger frontwing would make it easier for sure. I haven`t tried the mast shim yet. I am not sure, if it will help. I can try, but I guess it will be very difficult to tell, if it improved or made it more difficult...

Interesting to see if you can get It started on an inflatable. Will an inflatable be much more difficult to paddle up?

@@wiepkjedegroot most people say that an inflatable is more difficult to pump up, but how much more difficult is difficult to tell!

did you try the parallel stance? Olivia Piana recommended parallel stance during paddling and surf stance once up on foil. also, did you try a shorter paddle? that looks long

    • @FoilingPastor
      @FoilingPastor  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

somebody else also already recommended to take a shorter paddle. On stance, I heard both versions. I will need to try it out I guess.

@@FoilingPastor Just superficially looks like the surf stance shifts pressure towards the shoulder whereas the parallel stance more towards the hips/core.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I'm starting a light wind equipment journey and factoring in flat water attempts like this.
It looks like the 124l volume could be a hindrance, higher volume will mean less of the nose submerged (higher surface area I guess will be marginal).
Also perhaps a good starting point would be to do timed trials to work on top speed alone, to progress there in isolation and with metres. I'm thinking just a watch with GPS or simpler time the distance between two landmarks

@@edwardburgin1385 I guess that’s why gong recommended the 7“6 and the 7“11 for paddle ups to have more volume in the nose.
I guess, we all came to the same conclusion, I need to have way more speed.

Your Paddle length looks too long to me. Gwen likes his paddle 1 or 2" shorter then himself.A shorter Paddle will allow for faster cadence (shorter stroke but more power) and more power from your Core. Try it and let us know :)

@@IRWE905 I also had this impression, but felt so wrong to use a short pedal from what I have been used with normal stand up paddling before
