Attacking in maneuver warfare during war of attrition and against enemy that is much superior in capability is dumbest thing you can do. It was doomed before it started. Ukraines best bet is trying negotiations. The more they fight the more they will lose. Said this before their summer offensive began and i still hold the same opinion.

The reason why Russia isn't stopping or slowing down with their attacks, is because in their negotiation proposal they are claiming the 4 provinces liberated, but it was rejected by Ukraine/West... so now Russia will take All of those 4 provinces from Ukraine, and will insist that from the current Donbas administrative borders until the Dniepr river that area to be declared as a DMZ.
It's amazing how many people don't understand the tactic of giving an apparent weakness to draw out enemy lines, both in battle and logistics.
I think tactical operations to neutralize all fortress towns and old well made defensive lines are now almost complete, further non stop tactical attacks are to deny AFU to create any substantial new defensive lines or even to properly consolidate and organize proper defense,
and all this is part of preparation for strategic offensive operation which will come next year

It is so depressing because this situation has always been obvious. Ukraine has neither the population nor the industrial base to defeat Russia and NATO is a paper tiger in terms of its armed forces unless it wants to use nukes. Nukes mean WW III, so NATO will probably not go down that road.

Why should the west? The war would have been over already in 2022, maybe would have never started, when the west didn't wanted it. They will play the game to the last Ukranian. It costs less, then fight Russia directly.
Interesting to think that this war is consistently compared to the first and second world wars, where trench warfare was the main focus. Back then, trench warfare meant months or years could pass without advancing due to the danger of the opposing trench across no man's land. Now, however, we can just delete that entire trench, the people in it, and push. Still slow, but settlement after settlement, we see that the average pace of trench warfare is several times faster than in either world war.

Russia will now just agree to a unconditional surrender (even someone doesn't say it). They won't go with the western plan. Western plan was like Minsk-II agreement + rest of Ukraine join NATO (they idea now). Russia will never allow that to happen again. The west tricked Russia by making the Minsk II deal and then meanwhile train and equip Ukraine with weapons. Russia won't accept it again.

Also I notice that every tiny villageon the map has the same size letters as the large cities so it is very difficult to differentiate and locate the position of Kupyansk from all of the numerous tiny villages surrounding it, on English maps big cities have big letters while small villages have small letters.
Also you zoom into and out of map locations so quickly and then focus into a tiny village that I lose track of where you are, so I have to turn the video speed down to 0.25 and play back.

Instead of telling us the names of obscure and unpronounceable Ukraine villages that the Russians are attacking it might be more understandable if you said where they are located such as ...."The Russians are moving towards Zbrinskyivxz in the area 10 Km north West of Kupyansk"...for instance.

Seems to me best Ukraine can hope for is Ukraine keeps territory 50 miles west of Deniper River, minus Black Sea coastline, and 50 -100 miles north of Odessa, with a treaty agreeing never to join European Union and NATO,, and a military without aircraft, missiles and artillery.
