It was 1973 in Norfolk VA. My brother and I were 11 & 12 yrs old. A pimped out 71 out Superfly Eldorado drove by w peace signs on the headlights, shag carpet on the dash & a lit hood ornament. The soul brother driving it had a pink broad brimmed hat & big groovy shades. As he passed he hit the ooga horn as so we broke out into the song "SUPER-FLY" LOL.
I used to have a 1971 Eldorado convertible back in the late 80's. I painted it black. It had a white top on it. And I lowered it too. Had a lot of fun with it. I wish I could have this pimp mobile you put together here! Its over the top. But I'd drive the shit outta that thing! I would have never thought these Caddy's would be collector type cars. I'm glad to see your doing it. I dream of a Black exploitation Pimp Ride!
I was Les Dunham's neighbor growing up. He was my hero for sure. There were hot-rods and custom bikes coming and going all the time, and he was into show customs at that time (before the "Super fly" cars). It's where he got his start. I drop in to see him whenever I can. The man is an East Coast legend. I wish him well.
I love the relationship you have with those that work for you. The way that they look up to you and want to go the extra mile says a lot about how you treat them. Much respect Sir.
When I saw SuperFly in 1972, I left the theater wanting three things: 1. Money 2. A fine black woman. 3. A Cadillac Today, I have 1, 2 & 3. I've been married for FORTY YEARS! Very nice car bro!
Hey Count, That caddy really sends this old man back. When I was a teenager my girl and I went to radio city music hall guest what was out front a pimped out eldo. Had duesenberg exterior exhaust ,with running boards along the bottom of the doors and painted white and it had leopard faux upholstery. Lots of chrome. The girls were in the back and the pimp was talking to some guy. Being a car nut that was one moment that stuck in my head for the last 50 years. Excellent ride sir.
Met danny at the airport in Vegas on a layover a few years ago (right when he was huge with history channel). We sat and talked cars like 2 normal dudes for like 20 min. It's cool to see someone retain the passion for what they love even after they become famous
Danny that's if not the best looking Cadillac they ever made its so different. The way you explain about any of you're cars it's pure love like my self there apart of ur life they make you feel great and all the memories come flooding back when you sit in them or drive them I couldn't live in a world without cars thanks again Danny for the vids I'm watching from Australia and would love to come see you're collection of cars one day hopefully
I am digging this Nice car.. thanks for the show. I would do a white fur interior or white fleece interior. Imagine gold car with clean white interior. Epitomy of luxury. Even Gianni visachi use those colors to show elegance. Great is the glory of the Lord.
Wow! I had a '72 Galaxie 500 as a kid with black and white faux zebra fur interior. Love this car man. Enjoyed the movie. Brings back lots of memories. Next time I'm in Vegas I'd like to stop by and see it in person.
Count, fabulous Caddy, great resto & paint job is superb. Thanks for keeping alive this ride down memory lane of the 70's. An old saying "Primping ain't easy but somebody's gotta do it": you do it oh so well brother😁😎
Danny. My friends father back when I was a kid in the early 70's. Had a 71 Eldorado. And it was just an awesome beautiful car. I loved it. When he would come and pick us kids up. From the movies in it. We loved riding in it. Yours is also beautiful. I would keep it 4 ever bud.🤗
Love your channel! In 1978 I was 18 and working at a mechanic/transmission shop on Livernois in Detroit, the hood. I would see those Pimp-mobiles daily along with the superfly clothes these dude would wear. I reside in Florida now but miss my hometown, especially a Lafayette coney.
Omg Danny if you were to ride your superfly caddy around these parts( New Brunswick, Canada) Peoples would loose their minds. Not only do I love your taste in cars, its your passion that makes me smile 😍
I got to tell you Danny you are the epitome of cool, only you and you alone could pull this off and get away with it kudos to you, you are the master of coolness Rock on
Man, I love that car! That is the most pimped out Caddy I've ever seen. Ryan really hit it out of the park on that paint job. Thanks again for showing off that epic collection of yours.
Looking good Count...I had a great memory of old when I heard you mention “SUPERFLY” it took me back to the Sanford and Son where Fred had the super fly suit it was hilarious...thanks for the smiles..👍🏼

I've seen that car twice. Loved it. All the rides y'all do are awesome I've been there about 6 time's the vehicles that are absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a beautiful car! Cadillacs aren't the same these days. They were real cars back then. Gave me some ideas for my Caddy as well. Thanks a million Danny! Still want to see a vid on your Crown Vic. People overlook how great those cars are btw. I'm sure you have put more power in yours. I want to turn my crown Vic into a hellcat killer while keeping it looking factory.
Im from Detroit. My neighbors cool ass uncle Luther had one of these. You know you tugged a heart string with me on this one. That girl is done PROPER!
Man my Mother put me up on Superfly back in the day 😎😎👍👍Ron niel as Priest Superfly by Curtis Mayfield the cars oh the cars!!!! Man just the memories!!!!! Man That's a bad Cadillac!!!!!🤟🤟
Gosh brother man, I love so much your heart for cars. I know if you didn't have a TV show or a penny to your name you'd be the same exact guy. super fly!
Went to Vegas last year, had to stop by the shop, loved all the rides from the countach to the cobra. Absolutely love the work you and your guys put out, top notch
I really loved the episode of this on Counting Car's and watching you guys go out on the strip all dressed to the nine's.. As always Danny I thank you for sharing and for everything your team does. Stay safe and healthy brother and I look forward to seeing what you have on next. 🙏
When Danny says you won’t believe how it looks in person he is speaking the truth. We just saw it two weeks ago and it shines like new money. It is amazing and eye catching. I had no idea piano resin was used. That’s insane!!! What a crazy cool car.
You are absolutely right Danny. It's a love it or hate it car. Sorry to say, but I fall in the latter category, but yes I will admit, you and your guys did an amazing job restoring it!
A awsum set of wheels Danny, the restoration is impeccable. Just needs Huggy Bear behind the wheel. I live in the UK, I bet it wouldn't fit down half the roads over here. Love your passion and dedication to all your projects. Hope to get over to Vegas at some point, and be able to see your collection in person. ML&R 🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Should have asked me to borrow some of my legit ‘70s pimp duds before shooting this video; the car is sexy but what’s that iParty-chic thing you’re wearing? Nice Halloween costume, call me and I’ll hook you up with a killer outfit to wear with that beast!~
These cars weren't my style or taste, but having seen this car in person at Count's shop in 2018, I couldn't deny the huge amount of craftsmanship and the many hours that Danny's crew had to put in to make that car what you see today. The paint job was one of the best I ever seen and it was a work of art to pull it off. If you have a chance, go to Vegas and see Danny's collection in person, it's worth your time and you'll definitely see some cool rides.
I just went and seen this car along with the rest in person a last week, OH MAN! All the cars are awesome, not just “TV nice” but actually really nice! Top notch man, felt like I should have paid something to check out all that cool stuff.
