Hi Paul, it’s not just the cinema’s…..I went to a McDonald’s once and to my disgust there was a turd in the urinal 🤢 (to this day I still can’t figure out how they managed to do it 🧐) I agree the public can be like animals at times, take care mate👍😃👍
My last visit to Vue was Top gun Maverick. Unbearable noise from teenage girls, shouting and swearing. Several other cinema goers shouting at them to shut up. Now I just watch at home. Sad but it put me right off.
This is why I don’t go to the cinema anymore, others just ruin the experience, I’d rather wait to watch the movie at home, doesn’t matter how much want to see it
big pauly the best thing that cinemas can do is to increase prices by one pound per head to pay for extra staff to maintain the wash room during school holidays
It's why I always try to go during midweek working & school hours so I have the best chance of avoiding people. Usually only have to share the screening with a handful of people at most who are usually well behaved because they probably had the same idea as me.
Haven't been to the cinema in years! Too expensive and some people are disrespectful in terms of their loudness/phone use/kicking seats, shouting out, etc. Stuff that, will wait for a few months and watch it in the comfort of my home.
It all depends on the area you live in as well. It's only 4.99 at the Vue cinema in Hull the last I checked. Some films are sometimes best appreciated on the big screens.
Peter Cook would be proud of this rant. Hilarious , but totally agree some right filthy people about. Haven't been bought up correctly .sad times we live in now.
These people are disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves which they probably are not I feel sorry for the poor cinema staff who have to clean it all up afterwards horrible job to do. A great rant Pauly and very important to highlight as well.
I completely agree with everything you say. Some of the general public and truly disgusting. I worked for Cineworld for 5 years, and what you saw that day was just the normal day to day type stuff. Sometimes you knew from the type of movie that was showing if you were going to have a lot of mess or no mess, something like Deadpool or most certainly any horror movie, you will have a big clean up to do where as something like Wicked Little Letters, your likely to have nothing to clean up. I worked in a 16-screen cinema so we saw a lot of mess in screens and the toilets. We would find many things from used comdoms, underwear, boxer shorts covered in poop and even a double ended dildo. I still go watch movies at the cinema now but definitely prefer to go during the week when kids are at school and most people are at work.
How can so meny people mess up Cinema with shit on toilet seats and a big Shit in the Toilet. You maded me Laugh About the Hot dog in the Cupholder And popcorn And Drink spilt Everywere And Piss in the Bathroom Keep the Videos up Big Pauly. I love you man from Andrew Shaw can you give me a shout out the your next Video. I like it when you said Piss Splashers
Me and my partner went to see Deadpool and Wolverine at odeon about a week ago. Got in and for 2 hours some idiots decided to talk on phone and didnt really get into the film and things. So someone decided to tell them to stop talkimg please and then 5 to 10 mins after then went. So in the end when it was finished when i came out the cinema i wanted to let the staff know that i couldnt get into the film probably and it ruined my experience and chances they wouldnt do nothing about it.
With the price of concessions these days you would think people would be drinking and eating every last drop and crumb! but unfortunately it's been this way for decades. Having worked in cinemas, staff definitely don't get paid enough to deal with these sort of things.
Yes why waste even a single bit of popcorn when you’re paying an arm and a leg for it. With many people taking in their own snacks these days I’m actually amazed at how much In-house concessions there still is being thrown around
I worked for Cineworld between 2008-2021, can relate very well to what you've said. One story out of thousands, I recall that someone had a dump in one of the sinks once. A supervisor and myself had to clean it up. Oh, the joy 😂 And yes Cinema etiquette is almost non-existent nowadays, people are the worst.
I totally get what you’re saying. As much as I want cinemas to be successful and busy, the more people there are in a showing, the more infuriating it is. The mess people leave when they leave the cinema is disgusting!! I take all my rubbish with me when I go. Not to mention the noise, the loud eating, the mobile phones. Your experience in the toilets sounds awful!!! Luckily I’ve never experienced that. It is disrespectful to the staff.
Totally agree, If i obey the no smoking rule in the cinema then people should not be talking during the film. Don't turn up 1 minute before the main feature and expect me to move seat or stand to let you through the row. Worst experience ever was going to see the final Lord of the Rings film. Picked an afternoon during school time so it would be quiet, only a bus load of feral, wild screaming children to arrive. Teachers ignoring the chaos resulted in me having a screaming fit and giving them a few half truths. In terms of the hygiene and cleanliness, this seems to be the normal for communal spaces.
That is also the result of streaming Paul. Some people think they are in their sitting rooms, in their houses. Sure teenagers are the worst, but I witnessed older couples speaking aloud throughout the film , at least here in Spain. It is all really frustrating. You are so right about everything you say and about toilets too. You are sooooooo right !!!
Hi Pauly You are spot on I have 2 vue cinemas in leeds and in both you get the same problem Rubbish all over Quiet before the film then when it starts they decide to have a conversation I am sure they think they are at home watching netflix or similar Must admit puts me off going to the cinema Which is bad as l love seeing films as they should be shown. But as you said its the way now and they wonder why attendances are low. Thats my rant over lol Keep up the good work Cheers
I've never seen the cinemas that messy, but it is because I go to quiet showings and I always try to bin my rubbish afterwards. You see the same on public transport and that's mostly adults who leave empty beer cans or half eaten takeaways on the seats instead of putting them in the bin next to the seat on the bin on the station they get off at
Unfortunately Paul this is a sign of the times that we live in. I commute into London every day and the state that the trains and the toilets are in is quite staggering. That said, with regards to the cinema facilities all I can say is that it’s the school summer holidays and I guess it comes from upbringing or lack of.
Going to the cinema used to be one of my favourite things to do. Now it has to be something i really, really want to see or don't want spoiled as it just causes me too much stress, ruins the experience and ultimately makes it a waste of money. While i miss the huge screens and sound i'd rather remove the stress, anxiety and rage and watch things at home now. To quote Roy from The IT Crowd 'People, what a bunch of bastards!'. Can't disagree with that really.
I went to see the film on opening night in an odeon, cinema was packed, but toilets were clean and no mess in the cinema either. But i agree, very disrespectful...
Its like that at football toilets these days too, makes sense with people drinking etc but not cinema, people have got worse post covid tbh and its sad it will probably put a lot of people off cinema...
Sadly I know such people from work. They are fully grown adults with no physical ailments who are unable to clean up after themselves. It's almost like they were never potty trained!
Hi Paul I went to IMAX in Leeds and I had the same incident there were a flooded bathroom with the floor wet when I went in the summer holidays with my uncle and I am sick and tired of people making a mess and can’t be bothered to flush the toilet in the cinema in the summer holidays I remember somebody told me that he went to the cinema and he got bullied because some teenagers were bullying him with a mental health problem and the staff didn’t do anything about it till the last minute
Luckily I haven't had such an awful experience but I do have a general agreement with you that people have very low stanards of respect for others. The only thing I might say, is people *May* report blocked toilets etc. but in really busy periods like school holidays the staff may not have time to do anything until some time later whereas in quiet non-holiday times if there _is_ any problem they will have staff to deal with it immediately... but on the whole you're sadly not wrong! As a (related) aside, a friend who lectures at University offered no set work for the next classes for anyone who didn't use their phone in the day... not one person of University age managed not to look at their phone for the day, most failing within an hour; I'm sadly not surprised when people can't go a whole movie without checking their phones however sad I think that is.
I wonder if it depends on the town/city because the Vue where I am is always well maintained, even the cinema goers at ours are very respectful about any potential mess. Been there several times and it's never been in the type of state your cinema is apparently lol which I'm grateful for. Thankfully the only noise I've heard was when I went to a screening of The Muppets Christmas Carol last December and this adorable girl, couldn't have been more than 5/6, was bouncing with excitement at seeing the film. That innate curiosity and innocence was the cutest thing ever and weirdly reminded me why going to the cinema is a special thing for me.
I loved the cinema, I went all the time, I had the cineworld unlimited card and really enjoyed it but I very rarely go now, its just gone down hill, lights still being on when the film starts, people talking, people on phones, i much prefer now to watch a film at home in peace and quiet
Everything you just mentioned is reason why I don't go to movie theaters anymore. If its any movie i like, i'd prefer to wait a few extra months for the movie to come to dvd. Not missing much there.
hahahaha well i have to agree with you Pauly..... I used to go to the cinema almost every week at least once but now i rarely go since you have people who won't shut up and stare at their useless phone's. I really can't stand that kind of behavior from people but nowadays they seem to behave as animals and they dare call themselves civilized hahahha don't make me laugh. People don't care about other people's property anymore and think they can do whatever they want. Well i say fock off...... Now i stay at home and watch the movies without the annoying sounds and people but its a shame because i like going to the cinema.
Don't no how someone can afford to waste a cinema hot dog today how much was that ten pound gave up going to the cinema in the holidays after getting pelted with sweets just more damage to the cinema experience no respect
To quote the first Inbetweeners movie: ‘shit on floor, fifty euro fine’ Who’s spending that much on concessions to throw it on the floor?? I’m savouring ever last popcorn kernel 😂
If I go to the cinema which is rarely now usually the London Imax to see a film, there are as you say some who don’t care. I respect any public building but then I was brought up that way accidents happen i turn my phone off, I spilt my drink once but I told the usher on my way out and she was fine. The IMAX in London mainly have responsible adults there it’s expensive so that filters those you mentioned out on cost
I used to work in a small cinema with three screens, during the school holidays, it was so messy you couldn't even see the carpert in each screening. No respect at all, and theres only so much time to clean up before the next showing 🙃
Sounds like you had a pretty sh!t experience 😂. I will never understand the mentality. Luckily my local Cineworld’s are very clean. The state of the screens after is a joke though. 🤣 its the crazy 20s bp😉 i haven't been to the flicks in 15 years sounds like i am not missing much🤣 get them to clean it up then they will change🤔 after covid i would have thought people would be more careful😂 some don't give much more of a dam in the own house just imagine if you left your cinema room in that state🤢
I go to Cineworld in Leeds I’ll go to the toilet before I go in to see the movie but I won’t go in after because I know that is what it’s gonna look like after but luckily it’s in a shopping centre so I use the toilet in the centre instead on the way home and what annoys me in the cinema it’s I’ll go in the afternoon and they may be six people including me and I can guarantee I will have a couple that will sit next to me even knowing they is like 200 seats in that room

People are arseholes when they know they can be. If anyone's making a noise and chatting during a film just loadly shout shut the xxxx up and that usually works. Some times you might get an applause.
Cinemas are outdated for today's youth. Cinema use requires respect for others and that's missing in this day and age. I haven't been since before covid and I haven't really missed it.
The thing is there’s nothing like the big screen experience. Especially when you get all the bells and whistles such as Atmos, 3D, 4DX, IMAX etc! But also because the availability of new films arriving on physical media or streaming much earlier than they used to, plus much cheaper home cinema setups many have their very own uninterrupted cinema nights in the comfort of their own homes.
Can't do much about the shit situation, but cinemas should start to charge people for the littering, they mostly have card details and seat numbers and should charge the clean up
Let you into a secret mate,I worked for cineworld for 6 years and I had to clean up all that crap plus puke and everything else on a zero contract. People don't give a shit mate.
I stopped going to the cinema many years ago. That's precisely why I buy movies on physical media, so I can watch them in peace and quiet at home, without being disturbed by people's phones, conversations, littering, and noise. Apparently, people have forgotten how to show consideration for others these days and how to behave, which is really sad.
Mate if you can’t form a coherent sentence I wouldn’t recommend making public comments 😂 make yourself look like a proper twat did you get a proper education or are you just a lemon?
That's only half steppin' Gary. One of my mates went to a west end of London (expensive)cinema to see Battlefield Earth 8 times in 2 weeks. Utterly disgraceful behaviour.
Honestly what was the point of this and the swearing not cool, if you had an issue with the toilet then complain to the manager, this is nor the place for this !!! Too much swearing, bloody disgusting, and i swear some myself, like omg!!!
I completely agree with you Paul it’s terrible what people do and find acceptable.
Some people are just sad, lazy, ignorant, inconsiderate bastards!
Hi Paul, it’s not just the cinema’s…..I went to a McDonald’s once and to my disgust there was a turd in the urinal 🤢 (to this day I still can’t figure out how they managed to do it 🧐) I agree the public can be like animals at times, take care mate👍😃👍
Well said, Big P. During the summer months, especially during the school vacation, I don't go to the cinema. Just too many distractions.
True words spoken. I absolutely hate people who go to the cinema and ruin others experiences. People do need to shut the f*** up 😂
My last visit to Vue was Top gun Maverick. Unbearable noise from teenage girls, shouting and swearing. Several other cinema goers shouting at them to shut up. Now I just watch at home. Sad but it put me right off.
This is why I don’t go to the cinema anymore, others just ruin the experience, I’d rather wait to watch the movie at home, doesn’t matter how much want to see it
It's been like that for 15 or more years thats why I don't go, I got my own cinema room and very happy

Me too. Normally when I go I share the screen with around 3 or 4 other people, usually the most I have is 10 which is perfect!
I do the same, usually in the week before 5pm is when it’s most quiet
Haven't been to the cinema in years! Too expensive and some people are disrespectful in terms of their loudness/phone use/kicking seats, shouting out, etc. Stuff that, will wait for a few months and watch it in the comfort of my home.

I'm lucky. I go probably about 100 times a year and I've had a handful of bad experiences. The worst was a group of drunk kids

Rubbish all over
Quiet before the film then when it starts they decide to have a conversation

Really annoyed as I’m desperate to see Deadpool, but refuse to go during the holidays. Will probably have to catch it on streaming.
Its like that where im at every store or theater bathroom is dirty as all be some people are just rude and pigs and dont even think about it

for someone who works in the cinema people please take out your things after you have seen the movie, and also keep the toilets clean.
Though the instructions at Vue are to leave litter by your seat to help cleanup speed rather than take it and dispose of it...
When I went to see Drugstore Cowboy, the filth was a welcome relief.
hahahaha well i have to agree with you Pauly.....
I used to go to the cinema almost every week at least once but now i rarely go since you have people who won't shut up and stare at their useless phone's. Maybe cinemas should make those that make a mess to clean it up 🤪
The question is though Paul did you complain to management because if you didn’t nothing will ever happen.
Sounds like you had a pretty sh!t experience 😂.
I will never understand the mentality. Luckily my local Cineworld’s are very clean.
The state of the screens after is a joke though. I always take my rubbish with me and make sure i’ve left it tidy.
As for phones. Bring back the Lara Croft advert. It should be banned. I don’t get why people will pay the best part of £20 for a ticket and then not watch the film. Why bother?

Well if you like swimming through piss soaked toilet floors and floating turds you’ve missed a lot lol
Clearly you're missing the best of humanity.

I’m in tears listening to this 😂😂 I think it’s the fact you’re even having to talk about this sort of stuff. It’s disgusting!
It absolutely is, respect when down the toilet along with that 3 footer 🤣
@@BigPauly 😂😂
I just think people don’t care about the consequences people go to the cinema to enjoy themselves not to see piss and shit everywhere it’s just not on and it’s happening quite a few times in the cineworld cinema in Sheffield where I’m from
People are arseholes when they know they can be. If anyone's making a noise and chatting during a film just loadly shout shut the xxxx up and that usually works. Some times you might get an applause.
You've just listed everything we would have done when we were younger. Lol.
yes it is bad they need to think of others users

Great Video Paul
hahahaha!!! love a good rant!!! 😂😂😂
I think you should say what you really think😂😂😂😂
Let you into a secret mate,I worked for cineworld for 6 years and I had to clean up all that crap plus puke and everything else on a zero contract. People don't give a shit mate.
Are you sure you didn't wonder into witherspoons pauly,, lol,,
,🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMG Had same issue, you must be very tolerant, just tell the staff and they will sort it for you, been there done that !!!
I stopped going to the cinema many years ago. not sure what's worse what you told us or that you paid to 3 times to watch this over rated film lol
Haha we like what we like but the film is definitely more appealing than the mess I witnessed 🙈
You’re a miserable bastard aren’t you never got anything positive to say 😂
Mate if you can’t form a coherent sentence I wouldn’t recommend making public comments 😂 make yourself look like a proper twat did you get a proper education or are you just a lemon?
You are a very different generation to those seeing that marvel movie, hey they are on holiday if you want to avoid them well go in the evening !!!
Why would you go to the cinema to see the same movie 3 times in a week
Because I really enjoyed it
That's only half steppin' Gary. One of my mates went to a west end of London (expensive)cinema to see Battlefield Earth 8 times in 2 weeks. Utterly disgraceful behaviour.
A guy farted in our screening
What was worse, the sudden noise or the smell? Lol
Did you rate it?
Honestly what was the point of this and the swearing not cool, if you had an issue with the toilet then complain to the manager, this is nor the place for this !!!
Too much swearing, bloody disgusting, and i swear some myself, like omg!!!
Surely Pauly can post what he likes on his channel? iloveblue.
15 rating so a lot of brats.
That would bother me, but I wouldn't moan after the Southport stabbings.
That's terrible. 😢
The price of Warburton's crumpets is also terrible
