I love QTE. That’s why Asura’s Wrath, MGR Revengeance, Insomniac Spider-Man are on my list of all time fav games. I love it in the Storm games too and this is what made me so mad when it wasn’t put in the Kakarot game. It’s like Cyberconnect, seriously. That is your bread and butter and you leave that out for a DBZ game. It was the main reason I wanted for CC2, for years to make a DB game. Those gorgeous cutscenes in Kakarot should’ve been QTE without question.
Because the ninja storm games for the most part had actual gameplay between the QTEs lmao Ultimate tenkaichi was practically all QTEs even in general gameplay

Actually they didn’t the graphics were pretty good plus PS3 was not far off from Ps2 in graphics. Tbh this game was straight fire, yeah the quick timing buttons were much but the way you could customize a character, actually have great super Saiyan transformations for your CAC, plus the cinematic portions of the game were pretty great especially for a PS3 game, if Xenoverse had this plus endless options for CAC then it would be dope but it’s a overrated game, this game however is underrated

This game was just fucking stupid in every single aspect, it's so filled with retarted mechanics, who seriously thought that automatic fightning would be a good idea?

The core gameplay was trash. Once you were locked into a combo you couldn't really do anything despite button mashing your heart out like it says to on the screen. The QTE events in the story mode were also just abysmal sometimes
This game wasn't bad in itself but it was a dissapointment in two ways. it confirmed that Raging Blast would not get a third game and it also burned anyone that bought because of the word Tenkaichi in the title thinking they were going to get a massive roster and tons of things to do. this game had neither.

I remember having to call my older brother to help me with the button mashing parts (specifically Baby, that one gave me nightmares) but he kept getting annoyed. I'd call him less and less until I was able to do it myself. Eventually I became a god among my friends in this game. None of them stood a chance. I welcomed beam clashes and had the biggest grin on my face everytime we started one.
Facts tbh that's the only reason i stopped playing it because of the cooler part the second time he grabbed me I had to mash until my thumb almost broke so I just stopped playing it ever sense
I have still not gotten past Great Ape Vegeta's grab, where you got to smash 1 single button extremely fast, for some reason my Xbox 360's controller seems to think, 10,000,000 clicks per second is not fast enough and that I'd need God Speed Fingers...

@@urfavguy Maybe not the Ultimate Tenkaichi cutscenes, but the artstyle itself and models are much nicer to look at, and Burst Limit gives XenoVerse a genuine run for it's money in the cutscene department, voice acting wise as well. Obviously Kakarot does it the best, but that goes without saying.
I fucking hated this quick time event i remember i couldnt fight meta cooler and i tried and tried and when i came home from school i played and beat it in my first try. I had to go slower instead of faster to beat it. God it was HELL!!!

That's literally what the game wants you to do. It wants to show you how hard it was for the character to escape that kind of grab / attack. I didn't have a broken controller but I always had to use the index with the ape Vegeta hand grab. With the others it wasn't the same thought. I still loves them

But I do think that quick time events in the middle of a cinematic is the best way to tell a great story. And this was the first game that let you create your own dragonball character. This game gave birth to Xenoverse, and for all its flaws, we owe it credit for -- oh thats right Dragonball Online was a thing, nvm.
I thought this game was mediocre. The roster was limited and the story mode felt short but it was entertaining with the QuickTime events and how it felt all cinematic. I also liked the create a sayain mode.
The one at 9:12 just pisses me right off. No matter how hard I try to get those slider QTE things, I can't do it. I don't know if it's my TV's calibration or if I'm just doing something wrong.
@@White-r5j actually it did end up being a calibration issue with my TV. Once dealt with I had no further issues. My timing was fine it was just that the television's wasn't.
Before DBZ Kakarot, FighterZ, and even Xenoverse 2 to an extent, this was the closest we had to epic cinematics during a fight.

The one at 9:12 just pisses me right off. No matter how hard I try to get those slider QTE things, I can't do it. I don't know if it's my TV's calibration or if I'm just doing something wrong.
Use your index to press the button. It's way faster and it 100% works
@@White-r5j actually it did end up being a calibration issue with my TV. Once dealt with I had no further issues. My timing was fine it was just that the television's wasn't.
