You'd be somewhat correct about those trees being ancient. Some of those bristlecone trees are easily 150-200+ years old. Trees take a looooong time to grow in the desert.
Very cool, I love the shape of those trees and it's amazing how the trees there are able to adapt to the desert. I'm glad I decided to do this adventure ride.
Yeah, I guess I felt like I wasn't getting enough riding in. LOL. It was a butt kicker though. I hope to have part 2 out by Monday morning. It was sandy in some spots when I checked it out. The Edge Loop had some really crazy soft stuff in that creek bed.
What is the longest adventure ride you have done? This one ended up being 33 miles with 4100 ft of climbing. Not my longest but for being my sixth day of riding in a row. This one was very grueling.
I just had one 2 sundays ago that ended up being 52 miles and 6,000 ft of climbing (by the way I was not planning on it being that long but one wrong turn, you know the rest of the story) lol
Great vid. I've had my eye on this trail for a while and plan to hit it next time I'm back in Fruita. I love those "long days on the trail" kind of rides like this. My longest has been 36 miles on the Santa Ana River Trail.
Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment. I like to chatting with viewers. 36 miler is a really good sized ride. That sounds like a great adventure. Do you have a goal in mind for the amount of distance you want to go for a MTB ride?
SART has options that go from 13 all the way up to 50. Riding the 36 and not feeling wasted at the end is the immediate goal. The 40 will follow easier after that. I'd also like to get to the longer versions of Palm Canyon, another SoCal epic, which are actually more difficult due to the long sand climbs.
Sounds like a great set of goals. I am eventually wanting to get up to a 60 mile ride on some rugged mountain bike trails. Pretty tough though. Every time I get to about 30-36 miles I get really fatigued. I would definitely like to hear from you when you get that 40 mile ride accomplished.
I will take you on much better loops than that one I inadvertently took. I need to get my gimbal sent off for repairs so I can get back to filming and showing you what we have to offer up this way
I think this was probably one of my top 10 epic adventure rides. It was pretty incredible to get the opportunity to ride this. Thanks for checking this out.
Have you considered doing the Carson City Off-Road ride? This will be my first time, and it seems like your jam. Definitely a good opportunity for you to network and get more eyes on the channel.
I just checked it out on line. Looks like a race event in June. I don't really do races to often and June I have so much going on I wouldn't be able to pull it off this year.
MTBing Adventures I am not into racing either. They have a fun ride option on the first day, which is what we are doing. This is our first time, so I will let you know how it is, and maybe you can hit it next year.
Producing on TH-cam is a grind man! You gotta keep working, I'd love to support you on Patreon if I could. Keep working and you'll make it there though in the meantime 👊
Thank you so much for the very kind comment and support. Just the fact you watch my videos and left a comment is huge for me. I appreciate it very very much.
Your style of video is exactly my style I like to watch. You nailed it. It's not all downhill and flows. That's how I have my channel too. Great job. @Heavyweightsmtb

WOW... You started from the bottom!? Crazy... We drove to the top to do an out and back of Sarlacc 😂 it was so sandy when we rode it, it was a beach!

Damn! That sounds like a good one. That will make you feel alive. LOL
Wow! 6th day in a row?? Impressive!
Thanks, I wanted to take advantage of my time on the road trip.

This looked like an awesome adventure ride
It was a good one for sure. Sounds like we can do a really epic adventure ride when we hook up and shred.
I will take you on much better loops than that one I inadvertently took. I need to get my gimbal sent off for repairs so I can get back to filming and showing you what we have to offer up this way
I really look forward to doing something more epic than Sarlacc. That will be a tough one to beat.
Awesome trail. Beautiful scenery. "Get off me tree" lol. I would love to ride trails like that.
Thanks, I had a great time doing this trail. Aren't you starting to get out and do some pretty good sized rides now?
That’s a long ride and looks super fun! The longest ride I did was probably 10 miles 😂

I have not heard much about it. I would love to check it out. I have pretty much all of June booked out for rides. Is that a good one to do in July?

That sounds great. I am always looking for some new adventures.

MTBing Adventures No problem. I completely understand the struggle that you're going through as a creator except im even smaller😂

You made a comment before I could finish adding the end screens. LOL. Thanks Jack for checking it out.
