No talking, just driving. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle drive, starting in Matlock, heading through Matlock Bath, driving through the countryside before reaching Chesterfield, A fairly large town, known for its Parish Church that has an unusual crooked spire which we drive past. Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to TH-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

I really like Matlock and Chesterfield. USA just doesn't have the history and architecture that the UK does. Very nice to see.

Much prefer your Walks Dave. Walking pace is much more enjoyable, and of course makes one feel connected to the environment and architecture. We all spend too much time in cars these days. Your walking videos are Fab.

Even though I live in Chesterfield and have been on those roads many times, I enjoyed this very much. It was oddly relaxing and familiar, in fact you passed very close to the street I live on. Discovered your channel by accident but based solely on this video I subscribed to your channel.

I went here in June 14 2019 but due to the pandemic I cant go. I really miss this beautiful country. Whenever I watch your vids it makes me fill like im travelling! Great video.
Slowly but surely I think we are coming to the end of the pandemic chaos. we will soon be able to savour that feeling of visiting a place we have long missed and it will be wonderful!

chesterfield my home town just wondering why you would go through somersall onto chatsworth rd....your getting into the traffic
I have pretty much no knowledge of the place, and wasn't a planned route, I just remember driving that way along time ago, and felt it would make a worthy video, seems I must of been lucky with the traffic that day.

I always enjoy driving in the English countryside, even though, as an American, it can be a bit challenging. Your drives and walks are much appreciated during this period of no travel. By the way, what car are you driving in this video? Thanks!

I love English roads, they seems to be quite narrow.
Hey up, yeah, they can get very narrow in places, kinda just get used to it though, I don't think of them as narrow anymore.

I noticed alot of the roads are small. This why most european vehicles are smaller? I wouldnt even attempt to drive f-150 or Silverado thru town.
I believe so, often the older the village, the smaller and tighter the roads can be, they were built pretty much in the horse and cart days if not even earlier than that.

In the UK, most towns and villages, cities, etc were built before cars and the need for wider roads. So roads were built to suit the towns.
In the US, in many places, the roads were built first and then everything else, so the roads can be a lot wider and straighter. :)

If I ever find myself to be in that neck of the woods and with my camera gear, I most certainly would. Very beautiful place indeed.
