For some reason I really love space... it's just beautiful with all it's colors and lights. I love when you are making these darker paintings with night sky motives.

I have a question. I noticed that you don't tape your edges down.Does the paint that gets on the sides seep into the back of your paper? Like when you are done and your painting is all dried. If you flip it over do you have paint on the back?
Hi Harley, I lay my watercolor paper on a glass so I let the paint and water create that suction so my paper stays in place, if I paint a full background like this one, yes... I will have some paint on the other side. I use 140lb paper most of the time, thanks!

Hi Moaz, welcome to the watercolor world :) I have a website www.mariamorjane.com there's a section "my art supplies" within that section I have listed on the bottom all art supplies I recommend for beginners, like brushes, basic colors, papers etc. Then I also have a blog if you don't mind spending time and reading about papers and brushes. I have quite a few videos for beginners. like th-cam.com/video/FMRSpAigZ68/w-d-xo.html I still haven't created a full video for beginners where I explain what exact materials you need and how to start. But once you have brushes, paper and paints, you can start practicing. For the video I mentioned above... you can pre wet the paper with brush and water, then with brush and paint and water you start painting sky. Everything will take practice and patience but watching videos may help you a lot. In understanding watercolors better and how to work with a watercolor paper. Just make sure when you paint watercolors that you do have a watercolor paper :)
Hi Maria in school we have a project and I need to do a painting for a poem that I made, but I don't know how to do it I'm not the greatest with art. Even though I enjoy it I don't think I'm that great. Your paintings are amazing and I love them so much, but I know you won't do it, but it's worth a shot. Can you do a painting of a very beautiful landscape mountain grass trees Etc And the main thing I want u to do is just to put cracks on the edge that are shifted from the original area. Do it however you like. I would really appreciate it. But if u don't it is fine, anyways I wanted to say you are amazing!

Meenu, you can just use white Gouache or white color at the end and add a little bit of yellow to it. It's just city lights 🤗
