If these people sound educated like this, why are they not aware that they are not suppose to be sharing their brother's property with his wife and child, everything of their brother's, solely belong to the wife and daughter.

Everything belongs to the wife daughter and some one off assistance to the dependant aged parents, because if the father were alive. some assistance will be given to them.
Why didn't they remove from the lumpsum of the entitlements to do the renovation before sharing anything just as they did to the tithes? What kind of fair sharing is this?.

Na wa oh for some family, my father took 9 children in from his late sisters bcos their papa passed away and two years later my aunt was dead too but no inheritance, we all lived together like brothers and sisters no person even no sey no bi my parents born den till 2020 when our dad died age 90 years , everybody don already gets their family andwe are all doing great , some of us are in Europe, America and in Nigeria. My family is the best family in the world until something happens and your children is at the mercy of that your so called family. The step mother on the other hand is fighting for her pocket
God, the country is never one. My mother died we need to spend more than half a million to get a letter of administration from the court to present to bank to have access to her bank account. More than a year now we are still on it.
I have observed something watching the programs and it about extended family involvement into a deceased person inheritance. The deceased person has children but his siblings benefit from the inheritance instead of the children. Is this a tradition in Nigeria. I am an American of Liberian origin and this kind of tradition or behavior is outdated.
