Here's my Eight & Bob Nuit De Megeve Review shot with Ashley. Eight & Bob Nuit De Megeve is a vetiver fragrance and one that reminds me of Dior Privee Collection Vetiver. The discontinued fragrance. I really liked Eight & Bob Nuit De Megeve as a vetiver fragrance. I found it to be classy and that added coffee touch was so unique that I kept wanting to wear it. I find vetiver fragrances to be a class on their own. I found Nuit De Megeve masculine but unisex on it's own. An excellent release from a brand I do not know much about but I am very curious to explore Eight & Bob further and discover their fragrances. As they seem to have a great catalog of fragrances in classy, masculine bottles. Are you a fan of Eight & Bob?

I have to say Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford is my favorite. Very classy scent.
Sampled their whole line and this was my favorite. The Original is pretty good too, very versatile and subtle.
I have recently discovered my love for Vetiver in fragrance. My favorite Vetiver fragrance at the moment is Atelier Cologne’s Vetiver Fatal. I reside in Southern California.
Great collaboration with Ashley Sebastian. Always fun to see you both and getting a male and female point of view on fragrances. I heard of Eight & Bob a couple of months ago looking on some fragrance reviews on TH-cam and have to say I do love the classy, polished look of their bottles and interesting fragrance offerings. I don’t own anything from this house but would love to sample some. Nuit de Megeve sounds interesting with the coffee and vetiver mix. My current favorite vetiver fragrance is encre noir by Lalique. I’ve had a 10ml decant of this for 6 months now and this is gorgeous. To me, it’s a dark version of Tom Fords grey vetiver. Imagine TF with smoke. It’s a night at Megeve’s, by the fireplace.
I do like Eight&Bobs , Eight&Bob and Egypt . I've sampled them. I am getting a split of cap d'antibes
One of my favorite vetivers is *Mona's Vetiver* and I do like Ashely's mention of Vetiver Tonka .
I also like Guerlain's use of vetiver.

I have a bottle of Nuit De Megeve, but IMO the Original Eight & Bob smells better; The original fragrance goes in a totally different direction. I'm not a fragrance pro; so I'm not going to try and describe what the original fragrance smells like, but IMO, it's worth checking out.
If there is a Byredo Bal d afrique extreme this is it. Les flowery more dark version of bal d afrique. Love it

Great review I am not familiar with Eight and Bob. My favorite vetiver fragrances are Sycamore and Encre Noire. I agree with Ashley. I also don't find vetiver particularly masculine I am in Illinois.
just watching this as i am wearin it today, sprayed dior vetiver too, they are very similar and i do prefer megeve, its just more wearable on my skin! i get alot of coffee with this too! bravo!

Love vetiver, like when it comes out with green tones, Grey vetiver, and vetiver carven used to be so piney green, eight and bob sounds good,, nevada usa 🇺🇸

Seb I wanted to love this so much but for me the story isn't clear nor strong enough. On my skin it was indistinct what it was trying to say and it lacked performance and had no punch whatsoever. Furthermore it could never be my signature scent. Sorry, at least on my skin and to my nose. I think it's a cool house and all but honestly S.T. Duponts are like a million times stronger, same with Armani Prive and Dior high end stuff etc. Great review though as always. She is gorgeous btw in the vid.

Hmm, vetiver, tobacco and vanilla. Interesting. I haven't sniffed Dior Vetiver. I have started to get into vetiver lately. My faves are Frapin Paradis Perdu, Guerlain Vetiver, The January Scent Project Eiderantler, Oriza Legrand Vetiver Royal Bourbon, Precious Liquids Fresh Vetyver, Prada Infusion de Vetiver, Rouge Bunny Rouge Incantation and Tauerville Vetiver & Petitgrain Splash.
Nuit de Megève reminds me of the of late discontinued Hermès Vetiver
My favorite Vetiver fragrances are from Creed and Tom Ford. I have not tried this house yet bu looking forward to it! From Illinois

I’m in California and have never tried any Eight and Bob fragrances. My favorite Vetiver fragrances are Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver EDP, Terre d’Hermes and Encre Noire Sport.

I have a large bottle of Dior Vetiver (love it) so I'm good for the next 10-15 years (I hope!). I'm a big fan of vetiver fragrance and have lot of vetiver dominate scents...and look to add another one each Sprint and Fall.
Guys, the story behind this house is really interesting. The relation between JFK and the house is paramount. You can read all of it here: eightandbob.com/content/8-history, which I recommend.
But keeping the story short, the name of the house comes from when JFK and Albert (the founder and first creator of the house) met in France and JFK became infatuated by the scent he was wearing and asked for a sample of it. When he came back to USA he asked Albert if he could send him eight samples, “and if your production allows, another one for Bob”, so he did just that. He sent several boxes decorated with the same pattern as the shirt that JFK was wearing when they met, and then labeled the bottles and boxes with John's amusing request: “Eight & Bob”.
Oh i forgot, my favorite vetiver is Tom Ford Grey vetiver...but I´m Portugal, so...

The only thing about eight & bob that I’m familiar with is the story behind the name. I like vetiver, other than Sycamore, I don’t think I’ve tried any vetiver dominant scents. I do like Sycamore and was going to order it, noticed Chanel had a price increase (again) and it ticked me off just enjoy to not order...yet lol! Would love a chance to win a decant. I’m in Tennessee.

Great news, you know how bad I want Dior Vetiver. I will go check if they have this Eight & Bob Nuit De Megeve. My Favorite Vetiver base fragrance i think is Encre Noir then I would go for Guerlain's Vetiver, but i will update this comment later since I'm expecting more Vetiver Frags like Creeds and Etro and now ill check this Nuit De Megeve.
