S E I hear you!! I’m a woman too and also a singer. But I do have a naturally contralto voice so it did help a little….but oh boy since I’ve been performing this a lot more lately, it has definitely “ roughed” up my voice sort to say. I hope you’re still singing it too 🙂

I'm pretty much just always singing (as in like, my car, not professionally ha!) and Kurt's always floating around in there on and off, often with this song ( though I still can't get that awesome little yodel break thing he does at the end of each line on the unplugged version of this! So very cool..). (Ugh. I can't believe Dave is going thru another huge friend/band member loss...so awful...) But hey- Keep on singing!! (Oh and hey- you've got to check out "What's Up?" by 4 non-blondes if you don't already know it. Powerhouse voice!)

I just sang the song tonight at a gig that a friend had. Curt had some voice! I hope you keep on singing! Go to an open mic event near you and just get up there and sing. I don’t know where you are located but look up “ open mic venues “ where you live.

I should do that this year- thanks for the idea (I'm in San Jose- completely devoid of culture, but obviously there are open mics around at least haha. I could also add it to my next San Francisco trip :) loved Patsy Cline and right- she did have that yodel thing (there's gotta be a name for that lol). Same to you- keep singing!!

I finally found a guitar player to learn the song for me…before that, I used the acoustic music for it here on TH-cam. It’s such a great song! Don’t give up. Just sing the song like the way you’re use to.
I always forget that Kurt's voice was kind of higher. I'm female but I'm Alto so this one's a little hard for me. I do much better with Where Did You Sleep Last Night. Well ... until the scream at the end ha! Nope.. can't pull that one off! 😆 Miss you Kurt... 💗
