Very much so, especially if either of those is your ascendant lord too. Or if Moon or Mars is the "atmakaraka" which is the planet with the highest degrees in the chart, only counting the 7 classical planets, Sun - Saturn.
"Scorpio people like to be in holes". It's a funny statement but rings true for me, as a scorpio rising. When I was young, my grandma had a hollow oak tree stump in her yard, and I used to nestle into it and hide whenever I visited. It was like my private "retreat". To this day I still find solace in having hiding spots close at hand. Being exposed seems to be a great fear for scorpios, even though it's in their nature to expose everything around them.
I've got a heck of a lot of Scorpio in my chart, including lagna, and can really see how it's shaped my body and whole way of being, from the self-destructive dramatic stereotype to the spiritual seeker. Nice choice of examples spanning both potentials!
Kubrick 's example is the icing on the cake, love his movies especially eyes wide shut, his movies are a class apart, makes you think. Love your analysis, I was just thinking that I haven't watched your videos for a while and when I logged in, saw this. Good work Corey. Also could you give your perspective on religions and spirituality?
That thing you said about Scorpio not carrying access weight, being light and sophisticated in its movement, it being many footed, sounds a lot like small unit special forces.
Well, I have a question. Which one is important and should look first is it Sign or House placements ? I have 5 planets (sun, mer, ven, jup, sat) in Taurus in the 8th house. Taurus vs Scorpio lol. I don’t know what to say about my chart it is super weird lol.. also all planets close to Sun (5 degree Orb) Combusted.. what’s your take on Combustion ? Plz do make video on Combustion. Btw Newbie here!! I love this channel very much.. lots of cool stuffs! :)
Its kinda like the human body, everything is for a purpose. Dont ask which is more important, the eyes or the ears, just keep learning it all and using them however you can and one day it will all layer itself when you start to look at charts more and more and apply what you have learned...and just do it in a step by step way and dont overwhelm yourself.
If ARIES is the fully empowered warrior decked out in armour on the open battlefield, Scorpio would be the warrior thrown in the jungle with little resources except his wit/knowledge ( since he is a bramin) and inner tenacity to kill his enemy or solve his situation.
Should we use Jaimini sign aspects in the 10 th house from Karakamsa lagna and the planets placed in that particular sign aspecting the 10 th house from the Karakamsa lagna. Which one is more accurate the Karakamsa lagna analysis in the D1 chart or the Swamsa analysis in the Navamsa for career analysis
The Svamsa is probably the most important sign overall for reading the career from but it really depends on the chart. The ak in rashi, the pada, the upapada, and the svamsa can all have a critical say on career.
@@EyeOfTheVeda Are the house position and sign placement of Amatyakarka also important from both the Karakamsa and Swamsa lagna in d1 and d9. Say eg Amatyakarka Venus is in Sagittarius in 4 th house and Jupiter is in 10 th house from karakamsa or Swamsa lagna, then career may be linked to 4 th house matters ,Jupiter and Sagittarius sign like higher learning, philosophy, teaching, etc
@@apratimbaruah8862 some school of jaimini misunderstand the sutras and put undue emphasis on the amatyakaraka for career, its not correct. Amatyakaraka is the karaka of your close friends, close confidants, the people you turn to for support. The ministers to the king, the Atma. But it is not what Jaimini uses to read career from, at least based on my understanding of the upadesa sutras.
Career is who we are, our path in life. To career down a slope in skiing, means to go down your path. Your path is your self, and that is the atmakaraka or the svamsa. Hope that helps, take some courses if you want to go in depth.
This was so fascinating. I like to use my western/tropical placements and Vedic placements to see which one relates more. I’m a Scorpio rising in Western and this is weirdly in line. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Lol, it should line up since I and many vedic astrologers use the same tropical placements. So if you are a scorpio in tropical zodiac, thats how I would read your chart. Just so you know, its not commonly known in the mainstream, but amongst the professionals, there is no such thing as "western" or "vedic" placements, because what makes one a vedic or western astrologer is the TECHNIQUES they use, not the CALCULATIONS. Does that make sense? So there are western astrologers that use tropical or sidereal (so called vedic calculations). And likewise there are vedic astrologers that use sidereal or tropical. There is an entire movement in India of getting back to the tropical zodiac as that is what the shastras actually imply to be the correct calculation. This is a very in depth topic so you should research it a bit on you own if you have time. Ya learn something new every day!
Eye Of The Veda wow that’s so interesting. I’ve always wondered how the sidereal affects me versus my tropical placements (as well as Placidus v Equal/Whole). I loved your Vedic interpretations of the signs and the way the texts describe them as well. It adds so much more substance to it. It’s also wild that there would be movements about this in India, yet in the West it still feels so underground to me. Like it’s still slightly taboo... imo. I can’t wait to dive deeper though :)
@@foxeysunrise Yea I know what you mean, you may want to check out Ernst Wilhelm, he was the main person to start this movement in vedic astrology of using the tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras. He is my teacher and probably the only reason I am able to read charts adequately.
That is only if you use the sidereal zodiac, not "using Vedic". Using Vedic means using Vedic techniques not calculation methods, since there are dozenss of different opinions about what calculation methods to use within the various jyotish schools. Remember the evidence shows that most likely all Hindus used tropical rashis until 500 AD. There are schools of jyotisha that have always used tropical rashis in India. And western astrology also does not imply tropical, since many of them use sidereal. Its the techniques one uses that determines if they are a vedic or western astrologer, not the calculation methods they use. So this is yet again one more example of why Parashara was most likely using tropical rashis, since he happened to describe Bruce Lee perfectly as a scorpio, not as a Libra. I hope that helps to clear up your confusion!
Well it seems you have come to the right place. There has been a whole movement started w Vedic Astrology. So basically, Lada and I both learned from the same teacher. His name is Ernst Wilhelm, and he was one of the best sidereal vedic astrologers in the 2000s when after reading the sanskrit texts themselves, found that there was no real basis for using the sidereal zodiac, and that the shastras themselves appear to have been using the tropical zodiac at least up until around 500 AD. So actually there are quite a lot of other jyotishis using the sayana (tropical) calculations. Check out Ernst, Ryan Kurczak, Laura Barat, Vic Dicara, Karen White, Ganesh Jayakumar, Neeshee Pandit, Carmina Amza, Levi Cosjin, and many others. As for the bruce lee thing, just check out this free audio class about the ayanamsa from back in the 2000s, and then get caught up on the basics and then you will see what I mean when you look at Bruce Lee's chart. vedic-astrology.net/FreeClasses/Ayanamsa-and-Rasis.asp To answer that would require you to understand the Jaimini system and the avasthas and all this stuff that I just cant convey in this msg, but I can direct you to where you can learn that and see Bruce Lees chart in a more clear way. I cant really just explain it in one msg in a way that wont leave you with a dozen more questions but you can start with learning about the zodiacs and then get your foundation of lajjitaadi avasthas and jaimini and svamsa down, then it will start to be more clear?
@Cat I would think, having his Sun in SAGITTARIUS ascendant makes him athletic, high energy and he seemed to have studied philosophy in college and travelled abroad. If you listen to his interview, he is very philosophical, that's his personality. Now let's look at his skill set, he is or is considered a deadly martial artist. I've heard him being quoted as saying something like, "In a fight, it's either I kill you kill me, and that's ok". Something along those, a very Scorpio approach to fighting. I remember he had MARS and MOON IN SCORPIO among other planets. If you watch his interviews, he actually comes off like a more JUPITER type guy on the surface. That Scorpio stuff is hidden, if you saw him today and didn't know he was famous or a fighter, you wouldn't think he might be able to kill someone within a few minutes. I would say he is more of a Scorpio internally, as his MOON is there expressing himself as sagittarius.
I have my moon and Mars in Scorpio could this be why I’m a little shorter than average
Very much so, especially if either of those is your ascendant lord too. Or if Moon or Mars is the "atmakaraka" which is the planet with the highest degrees in the chart, only counting the 7 classical planets, Sun - Saturn.

Very good! Scorpio Moon here, and I'm definitely a morning person. I have a high IQ as well but very few people know that.
Yea scorpio can be a very brilliant sign, and its lord Mars gives the intelligence of Logic, which is so underated in todays day.
