I am 62 years old and my sweetest and mot cherished memories are those times spent with my aunt and uncle on their farm. They inspired me, but starting was a problem but with an income of $57k monthly I was able to. My first year farming generated us $142k here in Tynan, TX. We never looked back, agriculture (ranch farming) is a gold mine
That's really impressive
But how do you earn that much monthly? I'm genuinely curious
Big thanks to Kathleen Mary Vella
She's a licensed broker here in the states 🇺🇸
Her top notch guidance and expertise on digital market changed the game for me
Kip, I make my own delicious electrolyte drink in a gallon water jug. I put a strong iced tea, a can of frozen lemonade & 2 teaspoons of Redmond Real Salt (it contains lots of good minerals). I add water to fill jug & refrigerate. Shake before serving. I started making it because my granddaughter's heart tends to act up when she's playing sports. She had an ablation operation when she was 8 to burn the nerves misfiring & causing SVT. It seems one of the nerves grew back, but keeping up on her electrolytes helps a bunch. Your wife sure makes a beautiful lunch for you!!!
Thank you for listening about leavings a lane. If we get dumped on with snow ❄️ in the winter, you will be happy about the lane and giving yourself room. Your corn is looking excellent !!
Takes more room that I thought but do not miss the silos as of yet 😀
@@KipSieglerFarming1 I believe you made the right decision about the silos for a couple reasons and I think you will be happy with the ag-bags. As I get older, I definitely don’t miss the silos and the climbing of them. As I say. Work smarter and not harder. Keep up the great work and Thank you for supplying us with milk. You and your family ROCK !!
Just moved to North branch a few months ago and youtube recommended your videos shortly after. Great to see a local youtube farmer.
Grew up on a dairy farm-60's 70's 80's . My favorite job was harvesting corn silage. Really miss those days. We ran a 2 row cutter behind a massey 1105. 3 wagons pulled by MM670's and a couple 6500 chevy dump trucks. 1 uprihgt 65' tall and 1 pit silo. Big one. So you can see why I love these videos. we milked 150 kinda same set up as you guys. Thank you for sharing.
I have to be honest... I never tought the old bagger would last this year. Bagging hay is a lot tougher than corn. But you will probably have to upgrade sooner than later .Great video Kip
There is nothing better then fall and the smell of corn silage
Amazing the weather for the end of September. Sure worked out for those that were stuck with the late planting this last Spring.
Look for a 891 or 900 versa bagger..they have internal density cable or rubber mat. No outside cables or back stop. They do a better job bagging
👍👍
Your operation and what you do is just mind-boggling unreal but I love your videos and I like that you’re from Michigan as I am about an hour and a half away
Some good looking corn.
Kip. Just wanted to thank you. For sharing the videos. Miss my youth chopping corn and filling silos. Side note. I highly recommend registered Brown Swiss for your kids to show in 4H
Awesome footage of the harvest!
I'd think it would be comforting to be able to put up more than you'll ever need, fer shore.
Thanks for another awesome video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Busy time with chopping hay and doing your bagging. Those pins on your bagger shaft really take a beating. Hard to not have one break. You are going through quite a change with your TMR and mixer and getting away from the silos. I truly do understand how hard these changes are. Been there done that.
Not picking on you but still think if you would try the pit silo you would be happy with it. Just some thoughts. 💭
Your sandwich was a nice one. Your wife does a great job on lunches for you. Yeah!!!!!
You are busy. I will leave you alone. You take care. Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
😊😊👍🙏🙏✅🇺🇸🇺🇸
They're kind of expensive, but we bought ourselves some speed hitches for hooking up silage wagons, once you have them, you really appreciate them because the only time you get out of the tractor is to unload. It would be perfect in your situation for how many times the wagons get hooked up.
I really enjoyed the video also Kip, keep up the good work 👍
Great video Kip.
Another very interesting video Thank you
Another great day of harvesting. Continued good luck and stay safe.
I really think you’d benefit huge, especially space wise and efficiency going to bunkers one day in the future. Biggest problem would be your wagons your set up so good for bags with all those forage boxes. Rear unload ideal for bunkers or course.
Looking great Kip, thanks again with another awesome video.
Hoping you're having a great week. 👍👍🍻💪🗽
Such an impressive video! The modern farming equipment displayed here is really helpful for agricultural work.
It's very dry on the west side of Michigan but I was in Midland yesterday I'm very surprised how the beans and corn look so much different over there compared to just a few hours west
Your wife treats you awesome it just makes sense that she loves you to death and I appreciate that she’s a good woman Kip you don’t get much better actually I don’t think you get any better. Tell her she’s the best nets from me.
Machinery Pete showed I think 5 of those wagons for sale in MN. Better snatch em up!
keep up the good work
Blessings from South Texas 🙏🚜🚜🚜🇺🇲
Leave yourself one bag of lower moisture stuff to feed when it's sub zero temps. Bags will freeze as bad or worse than a silo. To the point it gets really hard on equipment
I had gehl wagons and dad would always fill the conveyor and every once in a while it would break the drive chain long story short sold them and bought two h and s and love them
Gonna be sad when all the harvest is done😫❤️🙏🇺🇲
Making the cow chow
The Sandwhich Ya Had For Lunch Looked Yummy 😋
Kip I am wishing you all the best on your experiment with the bagging system. Plastic is made from oil and your bagging system with
plastic is from oil. I do hope it works out for you but a lot of garbage is being created with cut up plastic going to trash.
I would hope that it could be recycled some how as apposed to going in garbage. ❤
I agree with the recycling but am soo glad to see you OUT of those silos!
Kip are you using an innoculant on your silage? If not you should look up the product silo king from agri king. We started using it 2 years ago. Amazing stuff our feed efficiency is crazy good compared to not using an innoculant
First comment is always the best
Yes it is appreciate it!
Close the end of the bag and open the other end don't have to back up as far
Kip, 12:05 the reference to your Mom, wow! Shes proud of you, keep up the good work
I have heard both Cardinals and butterflies. Your deceased comes back to visit you. I truly believe that some people call me dumb, but I don’t care that’s my thought and my belief.
Do they make corn stalk stompers for chopper corn heads ?
Yes, funny dad was just saying we need some bad👍👍
Probably knowing the Red tractors , Super Trucker has a torque amplifier going out .
Big downfall of the Red power.
YOU GUYS TAKE CARE AND STAY COOL !!!!!
Why do you have a self propelled but use a pull type for haulage?
My family loves farm equipment
They don't want to take the kernel processor out
Just feed that stub bag out of the other end for a few days and you won’t have to go all way down the line
Question, approximately how many acres of corn does it take to fill a bag? Before I forget greetings from southwestern Michigan.
Maybe you should do something with the unsafety of the pto shafts! I always hear the parents who lost their child, that he or she was so adult and carefull for their age! Bullshit!!!
Good idea 👍 no need for the foul mouth
@@KipSieglerFarming1love from a farmer boy of the Netherlands (Swifterbant)
I know what you mean by butterflies being your mom. I have them around me too while I am working it my sister law I think
Why do you have the front tires backwards on your chopper
We switch them back and forth so the stalks don’t hit the tire in the same spot
@KipSieglerFarming1 ok thanks I learn something everyday
How is the milk production doing since you have used the tmr
You just use the self propelled chopper in corn?
Yes keeps it going and staying younger
Why don't you use it in hay?
How do you keep bagger tractor going straight w/o anyone steering it?
Just a little luck once in a while I’ve got people looking over me
How tightly packed is it in the bags?
How many loads in a bag compared to the silo ?
Is there a reason that you have two choppers?
And also first view
Didn’t you just put new roofs on the silo’s now you’re not using them….
Yes that was just for looks didn’t cost anything
