I am from Philly and its the same going on here the street life ain't nothing to play with I lost my daughter's father in 2006 to gun violence and I never received justice for him. I was pregnant with our daughter she is 16 now and she never got a chance to meet her father she is my only child I never got over the lost I just had to learn how to cope and live with it because I have to raise our daughter, but I suffer from depression , PSTD, an anxiety because of all the trauma I experience growing up in the inner city is so hard .
I lived in bed sty, bville, bushwick, ran around fort green,Williamsburg, e.n.y the 80s n 90s were berserk ,lost alot of great people poverty is the greatest weapon our oppressors have

It’s only so much parents can do man you raise your kids to the best of your ability. Once the streets get them they’re gone. Children will turn on their own parents just to run the streets with their friends I did it I even ran away just so I can run the streets now that I’m grown with my own children. I look back and be like damn my peoples was trying to save me, but thank God I’m married now I own homes properties and I actually lived across the street in Roosevelt projects in bedstuy next to the mayo family, they were off the hook down to the parents they were off the hook too

R.I.P. but as a parent the family should have moved after the 1st son was lost and technically she lost 4 sons because Clayton has 37 yrs to life
Just packing up and moving is a lot harder for some people than it is for others for *many different* reasons.
Then even those that make it out of one area to another they perceive to be a fresh start for their kids just end up moving to a whole different gang infested hood/city/state/etc.
