This is great footage, and even though it was before my time (I was born in 1967) it has a wonderful nostalgic look to it that captures the time period perfectly. I wish I could go back in a time machine to attend this World's Fair (with my Grand Daughter of course). Thanks for uploading and editing this.
I was there four times. I missed it terribly when it closed down. I have the PBS film on the NY World's Fair narrated by Judd Hirsch on DVD to bring back memories.
I went there four times as well. So many different things have changed since then, haven’t they? I have to wonder what it would be like if they were to hold a Worlds Fair today in any of the 5 Boroughs. I’d imagine that we’d see news clip on the TV almost every night…and they wouldn’t be “feel good” stories about what took place at the fair.
@@howie9751 Me neither until I just did a Google search. In 2017, the U.S. ran a well-planned bid for Minnesota to host Expo 2023. Unfortunately, the United States lost to Argentina its first bid to host a World’s Fair in 40 years. In 2023, the U.S. ran another exceptional campaign to bid for Minnesota to host Expo 2027. Despite tireless effort and diligent campaigning, the United States unfortunately lost its bid to Serbia. The next opportunity to host an Expo will be 2032/33 or 2035.
Hard to believe I was there so many years ago with my grandparents and sister. I was 8. I still remember the children of the world singing " it's a small small world" as we floated by. They lived on the cliff in North Bergen, NJ. This looks like cool or cold weather by the way some were dressed We were there in summer.

@@azul8811 I haven't heard about any World's Fairs since Vancouver in the eighties.

Everything seemed possible.

This is Corona Queens New York. Now known as Flushing Meadow Corona park. It is quite different now but still representing 80 nations.
This is from the Fair's second season (1965).
I was there several times as a boy as I lived just outside the city. That would be freaky if I saw myself in this film, lol.
that's why I'm watching this.. to see if I appear anywhere in this.....
I went when I was four. Most of it would still be fun by today's standards.
Pieta statue left rome for display in fair .
What! No Belgian waffles?
Ой гуцалык муцацалык гуцацюнька гуцаца 👍👍👍
Ride a convertible Mustang thru the Ford Pavilion then eat a Bavarian waffle.
