Brilliant memories of this song, thank you for uploading it. My dad Eddie wrote this song with his pal Charlie. I was gutted when we sold Eric, as not only was he going to our arch rivals, but it was the end of the journey for this song. My dad wrote another Leeds song (The hit man Yeboah, which I've uploaded). Good times!
I remember this being used by the BBC before the 1994 FA Cup Final when they were doing a pre-match montage about Eric. Proper 90s tune haha, good memories. What a signing by Fergie.
My daughter's "doudou" was a rabbit called Cantona. She was born in 1994. Since she couldn't live without it we bought the exact same one as a spare and called it Papin and eventually Cantona was lost but Papin never made the cut for her :(
I remember this period when he was about to play for Sheffield Wednesday, but the manager failed to make him an offer after two conclusive tests. Leeds United saw the opportunity, and Cantona didn't miss it. So far away...
Had this on tape cassette (yes remember those?) when Cantona played for Leeds, looked all over for it for years ha ha it's a hell of a lot cheesier than I remember but thanks for uploading it, brought back some great memories has this :)
I remember it from a Cantona VHS I had - looked for years for it and found a CD on eBay. The files were strange so took forever to convert it so I could put it on here

I’m a United fan (Manchester) and remember this on an old Cantona VHS when he signed for United - on top of the open top bus with Leeds

Le foot des années 90 … le meilleur foot ⚽️
We were 11 and my friend played this in his dads car and it was the coolest thing in the world. Simple times back then. Now I’m 40. F it
The undisputable King ...

Been sorting stuff out at my mum's and found the cassette, first single I ever bought
and we love you!
The ultimat King
Tune
A song about cigarettes ?
