Yes you have to . The easiest way to get your 1/2 length is to tie a rope around your client’s waist and take your measurements from the shoulder following the bust curve in front to where you tie the rope, and repeat the same process behind. Because there’s no bust behind , your back measurements will always be shorter than your front measurements.
