- Following on from my previous tutorial on "How to tie a headscarf Retro Style", this time I have 4 NEW ways to tie a headscarf!
With our Melbourne Summer currently hitting temperatures of 41 degrees Celsius, this heat inspired me to create some new looks that keep your hair totally out of the way.
I've created this tutorial especially for those of you who are looking for headscarves that completely cover the hair, so it is perfect for those with hair loss and doesn't rely on the scarf being pinned into the hair.
The scarf I'm using in this demonstration is a long scarf.
Dimensions - 67cm wide x 174cm long or 26.5 inches wide x 68.5 inches long.

I'm muslim but like to wrap my head scarf in a vintage 50s head scarf way because it's super cute! Super retro! Love this scarf tutorial looking for other styles too.
+MariamTalks They are very cute styles, right?! :3
Me too!!!
^^ wow, ignorant.
+Bonnie McClanahan why is she ignorant?
Aishah Cassim I removed the comment guys it was offensive. Salam x
When I saw your picture it transported me to a different era, and I liked it.
Not everything about that time was great, but a snapshot of retro fashions is great.
Thank you.
Nice tutorial ❤
If anyone watch this, if one use a velvet headband like the head covering people use, the scarfs won’t slide off as easily. The velvet headband took my head covering to a new level. Silk scarf stay on in wind without bobby pins and clips. And the headband protects the hair from pulling and breakage from a sliding and rotating scarf.
The pinup look works so well for you
These scarves are a great unique way to show your style, and also to highlight the face. Your face is exquisitely stunning, fantastically so! Awesome style!!
Just inherited some scarves from my husband's grandmother. Glad I found this video.
I love ur ideas n how u use broaches n earrings w it. Such a polished effect. Very beautiful!
I got one of those hair turbans to dry my hair and I think I love awesome! So now I want to take that style into my wardrobe. Thanks so much for these videos!
Like the 3rd asymmetrical look ♥ Love the pillbox hat look! Thank you for creating it ~ I have been successful each time. Also tied it with a fringed muslin scarf. Because it is shorter it had to be tucked in at the side with a few fringe pulled out from the top. Now I also have a chic turkish fez-like hat. So cute!
The look at 7:21 is good too. It reminds me of pics and footage of the turban and its popularity with women in the early 70s and why it probably made a comeback then in the first place.
I like the asymetrical turban, thanks for teaching!
love the last one!
Love the 3rd one.
Love the last one most--pill box hat. Thanks for including the dimensions. I wondered about that before I clicked on the above link. I have been wearing scarf turbans lately. Great look and great to keep me from having to worry about my roots. This way I can postpone touch ups for another 2 wks.
Magdalena Prettycripple That's one of the things I really love about scarves. Keeping overdue roots hidden or even days when you don't have time to style your hair properly and it won't behave :)
What a great use of clip on earrings
These are all so lovely!!
love these ideas
Beautiful!! My favorite one's the third one you did :)
Wonderful! Love this. Thank you.
Lovely!
The vintage look is always tres chic. Skip a generation, two is hot, three and you're a mysterious treasure, and kind of weird in a good way. I'd invite you to take my Norton for a spin if you pull up on serious iron.
174cm or 68.5 inches long. Pretty big! :)
Beautiful

Am a student painter - nonprofessional - may I use your portrait as a reference for paintings? See my work - www.flickr.com/photos/lindielee/
Je reprends, et aimerai voir tes cheveux-chignon, au naturel. Bien sur: ni coiffeur ni encor l'abominable tatoueur, destructeur de la beauté féminne
Noooooooo. Lol
If you are Muslin that's lovely !!!! Not for me don't want too look muslin I'm Christian !!!!
Gabrielle olorunda oh dear.... you don't have to use Muslin, any soft fabric is fine.
I had to add, after having a giggle, that I'm a Christian also and the vast majority of Christian women in the world cover their heads and have throughout time in history :-)
I actually came here to look for some new head wrap styles for myself.
Louisa Capell still laughing myself !! Bad spelling who would use muslin except for Xmas pudding!!!!you would look lovely with muslin on your head my family would not let me out She is silly!!!!!

Some christian woman choose to headcover because of 1 CORINTHIANS 11.
I am new to headcovering and here looking for tips and ideas on headcoverings that dont look like the hijab.
Who is this new to? Is this one of those things that is "new" because it isn't your culture or...
Nope..

+MsAlpabet Seriously what?
What
No, it's a joke.....
Really cool wrapping ideas. I'll definitely try them out. Which measurements has the scarf you use? Could you please make a make up tutorial to the look in this video? It looks so fresh and elegant. I would really love to see it. Lots of love from Germany.:)
