Deck we did it night and day in Helena Ark. back in the late seventies. At night we could have used mosquitoes to carry lines rather than throwing them!!!
Well you may not have that much lying to tie the knot on a figure 8 and you tie a river not for the lack of line lead you have left so therefore you can stop what you got going but that single line I mean it's just for pushing into but emergency wise you put that River knot in there to keep it from my unwinding on you know half hitches
Actually what he was tying was a river not if you truly want to know I'm 64-year-old tow motor and I can tell you what he's trying just buy halfway watching

You only have to shave your beard if you want to work with a respirator and get higher pay and if you don't and Kirby deals with a pressure barges so yeah you have to shave your beard where you can wear a respirator sorry but that's just the rules you have to be able to wear that respirator
Never seen any other way to work off heads than that way until I came up north... none of these guys treat heads like cavels... it’s working it off one head, wrapping clockwise.
You know when Kirby was took over by Hollywood which they thought they were buying Hollywood out which turned out to be a real deal they took it over Kirby and I did go downhill some but you're wrong in this organization pride is everything and Kirby does experience a great deal of pride and training his people I would recommend anyone going into the business to go there and get their license and then get the hell out of there because they changed after the Hollywood deal
Just shows you never been in a rough Waters before unfortunately them lying sometimes are the only things that will keep them barges together after the the wires break off I've seen the bar just come a loose and the only thing helping together was a line
I'm curious to know what a Bard's not is please explain that one to me please I mean I'm 64-year-old tugboat and tell me what a bar is not is come on explain it to

Call the river not but he's kind of poor at doing it okay I'm an old deck hand a tow motor or push motor you want to call it but I'll tell you this right now you got to work faster than that when you tie a river now because things are moving pretty quickly you ain't doing that double line pushing their I don't know what your time for you those first twisted rounds around the timberhead I guess that's the slow the pool down I don't know never seen it done before like that but okay but you can see that it was starting to do a river not back there on the back side on a single line like that
This is all wrong you never lead timerhead for a line you use the front or the backhead try stoping a cut when the pin is higher then the barges this is clown training I Been on the water since 2008
Kirby is by far the cleanest looking.

I recommend the granny knot x ten
Why not do figure 8s
8 is not use in bollard

Put the line around the timber head not the timber head around the line lol (Capt on the radio in the wheelhouse talking to deck hand )
His last half hitch was backwards the leads should be together inside of a U that will singe down but not file
Actually that you're wrong he was actually trying to tie a a river not if you've ever seen one done
Why not just figure 8 the 2 post's?
I trained here. Kirby Inland is a great company.
It was a great company tell Hollywood took it over and rained it to

Piss poor training, only use figure of 8s and never finish with lock turns or Clove hitches as they will jam under load.

@Mike-ql7hl dosent matter, river or not, it's strange and dosent make sense. I'd lile somebody to explain why they do it lile that instead of figure 8
