The most realistic rc plane I've ever seen. Most of the rc models behave like 'cartoons' with jerky movements but this one looks like the real thing. Good video!
Very inspirational unfortunately. Another reason to retire early, sell the kids, build a bigger shed and lose myself in the scale world! Thank you for the video - this level of realism and *that* engine are truly something to behold! Cheers from Australia - Dave :-)
Pops had a Cessna of one kind or another for 50 years. First one was a Original Cessna 120 taildragger, Hand Start Only, No Flaps. Lots of 172's and 182 Skylanes, A couple of 206's, A single 210, with fixed gear, for more cargo and 6 person belts. Bellanca Citabria was the only step-away from those, and Man, Was It Fun!. Citabria is Airbatic, to the meaning of Aerobatic, spelled backwards. Loops, rolls, snap rolls, stalls, hammerheads, towing gliders up, taking the door off on a hot summer day and flying around Was so fun.
To hear these scale models nowadays with actual 6cyl engines is so cool! And the real jet engines out there? Wowza! Let alone the WWII stuff with those radials!
@@hugejohnson5011 Yes. It sure is. The flat Lycoming style model 6's sound like they should now. The Moki model radials made everyone wake up again to building and flying beautiful WW 2 stuff. Everyone was tired of the weedwacker motors and/or lazy 4 cycles that looked the part, but didn't sound the part. I remember when the first model gas turbines took to the pages of the Hobby mags. I was astounded!,,still am. They are finally getting a bit cheaper, then when first released.
That engine really should be produced! Soooo much smoother than so many gassers in that size range and oh man that snarl of an exhaust note just makes my testosterone gland jump! Lovely sound!
What is interesting to see here, is the Reynolds constant. The weight and size of the plane makes it look much more realistic in the way it handle itself. The aerodynamics are getting closer to the real plane has the size grow. Not to mention a seasoned pilot also.
Wow. It is so nice to see a video of a scale airplane, beautifully built, in the hands of a competent pilot who can actually land an airplane skillfully, instead of bouncing it down the runway like so many others I see!
That plane is AWESOME!!! I've been around Cessnas all my life and have flown in and flown them and I was hard pressed to tell it wasn't the full scale version.
A Cessna with a sound of Lamborghini ;-)... Impressive model ! I was pilot of C150, C152 and C172, so I appreciate a lot to watch it. Low pass at very low speed (full flaps) and "touch and go" are things to always show at a public meeting, to let people discover how majestuous can be that kind of planes.
What a beautiful and realistic aircraft. Really nice flying. Not much to not love about this video. Just spent a few moments forgetting about all my worries and enjoying this flight. Thank you
Positive rate, gear up…just beautiful! Smooth and realistic stick work, couldn’t tell it from the real thing during the passes and approaches to landings. Excellent aircraft…got a few of my ratings in a 1959 straight tail version my family owned during my teens. Beautiful a/c model, well done!
Fabulous. One of the most realistically flown large scale aircraft I've ever seen. Beautiful sound too. Well down Mr Sauter and the pilot. Regards Mark in the UK
Absolutely amazing. Beautiful scale plane and equally amazing scale flying skills. Loved the full and partial flaps techniques. Who would give this a thumbs down? Apparently there are 17 people even more jealous of this awesome plane than I am. Thanks for posting this video!!
Really really cool. I love how it has the red beacon and flaps. Looks soooo much like a full size one. I bet you could get a small dog in there to act as PIC. That'd be cute.
Absolutely incredible engineering, build, fit, finish, preparation, tuning and PILOTING - what a great effort !! Indeed, a top - of - the - hobby grade airplane in the hands of a veteran pilot !! WELL DONE !!!
The uniqueness of this model compelled me to leave a comment. This is one amazing aircraft! Six cylinders! Great pilot! Would be nice to put a camera in it :)
Wow that´s awesome, absolute dedication. I´ve got great respect for people who have the balls to take that risk and let us watch these marvels. Such love in detail, maybe around 8000,-€/$ and 100s of hours in work. And there is always that playing with fire to have fatal loss. The frequency could get disturbed, an electrical failure or maybe a servo could get stuck. That happens and they take it. It´s an awesome hobby, but I myself stick to foam models by now... :D
Really nice plane... watched the 6 opposed video too... this is one special plane... I sure hope it is still around... good to see you are up to no good. I love your 50% planes... I am still helping the vets fly... very satisfying.
Dan, I loved everything about your 182. Your piloting skills. That 6 banger is da bomb though. Makes the entire package spring to life. Sitting on the ramp before you took off it sounded like a Tucker Torpedo!! They used a Heli Lycon flat 6 in those. There are 52 really beef headed people to give this a thumbs down. GREAT JOB!
Damn love the realistic physics in this scale plane! I hate when I see RC planes shootup like a rocket on takeoff, not very realistic, Yours is the most realistic Rc plane out there!
45 dislikes? why? It is an incredible well-build aircraft with a fantastic engine. Very smoothly flown with a textbook touch-and-go and landing. My compliments.
The fella starting the plane is the owner/builder. The guy holding the plane back in the beginning was the pilot on this particular flight. I think we can all agree he flew the plane excellently and very scale. And yes they are from Sweden. : )
Beautiful aircraft, amazing motor and great scale flying, thank you. I love scale flying, small overpowered planes screaming around the sky like dragonflies on speed do nothing for me but this type of flying is awesome. As a kid I used to go watch an old guy fly his large scale Spitfire 5b at the model aero club... exactly the same "slow" very controlled manoeuvres mimicking the full sized aircraft, love it. Thanks for posting.
Awesome Cessna, beautiful flight and great landing. love it. The engine sounds amazing and like the full sized bird. That six cylinder growl sounds like my 2002 mercury cougars V.6 with its doule DC racing exhaust. love it. thank you for great video.
Outstanding performance there, well done:-) It's rare to see a scale model such as the 182 flown to scale. Most on TH-cam here build outstanding models but very few know how to fly in a scale manor. I commend you in yr handling:-) :-)
I know, right? This is the plane that prompted me to buy one for myself. Still waiting for for the four stroke engine though. You can see mine in some of my other videos.
I thought the same thing. Some people are just picky about how people hold the camera and or how clear the video may be or what ever. There's some crazy folks in this world. Lol.
The most realistic rc plane I've ever seen. Most of the rc models behave like 'cartoons' with jerky movements but this one looks like the real thing.
Good video!
So often you see a video of a super scale model with a pilot that has no clue how to fly. This gentleman is a fine scale pilot. Hats off to you sir.
sir you don't have to enter the contest...we'll just give you the award....this is freaking aweosme!
Very inspirational unfortunately. Another reason to retire early, sell the kids, build a bigger shed and lose myself in the scale world! Thank you for the video - this level of realism and *that* engine are truly something to behold! Cheers from Australia - Dave :-)

The full scale 182 is a spirited performer and this beautiful replica honors the 182. Pilot aint bad either.
Sounds Brilliant, The Sound is To Scale on the ground and flying with throttle back."I Want One"
One of the best scale like RC flights I've every seen, very cool.
That engine really should be produced! Soooo much smoother than so many gassers in that size range and oh man that snarl of an exhaust note just makes my testosterone gland jump! Lovely sound!

Excellent scale model and flying.
bravo au constructeur et au pilote pour sa démonstration très réaliste !
trop rare...
I love a pilot that can fly a scale airplane to scale !!!! Well done !!!! Beautiful plane and piloting !!
Wow. It is so nice to see a video of a scale airplane, beautifully built, in the hands of a competent pilot who can actually land an airplane skillfully, instead of bouncing it down the runway like so many others I see!
Fantastic sounding engine! And beautifully flown as well!
Gorgeous plane and impeccable flying skills.
Oh... and a perfect landing to boot! Nice thumbs!
That’s a realistic takeoff, climb, flight, approach, and landing. I’ve seen model rc pilots that don’t do this. Great job 👍🏻
very cool landing and the engine sound us very realistic
nice job
That plane should live a long and happy life.
Wow, I felt I was actually looking at a full scale 182, even the sound, the way you approach it with power all the way to the landing. Amazing!!
That plane is AWESOME!!! I've been around Cessnas all my life and have flown in and flown them and I was hard pressed to tell it wasn't the full scale version.

Lonewolf 👍🏻
What a beautiful and realistic aircraft. Really nice flying. Not much to not love about this video. Just spent a few moments forgetting about all my worries and enjoying this flight. Thank you
Great sound from that engine!!
And the engine sound and smoothness was incredible:)
It's always a joy to watch it again ... and again ... and again !!!
Very good scale style flight with just the necessary action to the sticks, no over control. Congratulations.
Beautiful scale takeoff...the best I've seen so far in RC.
Yeah thought the same thing. Power is just right. Too many scale models take off at too high an acceleration.
That touch down gave me goose pimples. Nice flying, the landing was the best part.
Really really cool. I love how it has the red beacon and flaps. Looks soooo much like a full size one. I bet you could get a small dog in there to act as PIC. That'd be cute.
that is a beauty, growing up,I was always drawn to the Cessna style
god.....that was a very nice landing..!!!
Absolutely incredible engineering, build, fit, finish, preparation, tuning and PILOTING - what a great effort !! Indeed, a top - of - the - hobby grade airplane in the hands of a veteran pilot !! WELL DONE !!!
Wow also the fisics and the engine sound makes this very realistic
Even sounds real. OUTSTANDING!!!
That is a beauty. Nice job with the demo flight. Those landings were perfect.
Best model I have seen! I loved the sound of it! Thanks for sharing this video to us RC pilots!
Beautiful plane, scale flying and perfect landings.
This plane is a masterpiece among the ones I have watched. Congragulations.
Je regarde beaucoup de vidéo d'avion rc, et c'est le plus beau vidéo que j'ai vu a date. On dirait un avion pleine grandeur.
What a beautiful aircraft and flight! well done!
The uniqueness of this model compelled me to leave a comment. This is one amazing aircraft! Six cylinders! Great pilot! Would be nice to put a camera in it :)
Very good filling of scale dynamic and velocity!
Great model. Now I know what I want for Christmas only I can't wait that long. Brilliant flying also.

Perfection and that sound. Just beautiful
That plane has a sweet exhaust man!
A very nice scale model of this iconic training aircraft. I was going to ask about the engine but description says it all.
very well done.
Nice sound, nice aircraft, realistic flight.... Perfect...
I noticed it tried to float a bit on that last landing, just like the real thing. (High wing Cessna's are notorious floaters.) Great job.
Thank you for posting this video. Seeing this brought a little joy to my life.
This is the most smooth flying I ever seen. Nice flying skill man!
Even sounds like the real deal! Nicely done
What a sound!! Nice flying, very realistic.
That dang landing makes me want to give up RC and take up knitting or something!!
Great video, skill and dedication!!

+Dave Upton This isn't my plane but thanks for the comments Dave.
Now that was a really nice landing, nicely pitched up .o/ !
Very nice scale model indeed and the engine sounds so sweet, very nice scale flying too.
Nice landing, it looks like a real plane.
Damn love the realistic physics in this scale plane! I hate when I see RC planes shootup like a rocket on takeoff, not very realistic, Yours is the most realistic Rc plane out there!
Nice takeoff and landing

That was an excellent demonstration! And you are a superb aviator.
Just love Cessna planes this was a beautiful well built and flown plane.
I just know a twin engine one is in the works.
It is always nice to see this video with the gorgeous sounding SAWO engine.
Best regards, RCSA

this pilot flies really smooth and with the certain feeling very few pilots have :-)
And as always, excellent flying skills, thanks Dan
Awesome Cessna, beautiful flight and great landing. love it. The engine sounds amazing and like the full sized bird. That six cylinder growl sounds like my 2002 mercury cougars V.6 with its doule DC racing exhaust. love it. thank you for great video.

Good looking plane and great landings.
Wonderful plane, and that engine sounds amazing!
Awesome pilot with a very nice plane. I like it very much!
This thing is Amazing!! I can not wait to start flying!!
Wow that sounds and looks awesome!🎉
Very interesting comment. I agree, the bigger the model the more it behaves like the full scale. And the pilot did a very good job of "scale" flying.
Most beautiful RC aiplane ever :)
Very cool aircraft! She runs really nice!
It actually evens sounds authentic!!! That's crazy!!!
Thanks for the info. What a a beautiful engine.
Excellent RC flying skills. Fantastic plane.
Doesn't look like an RC at all. Best looking, and flying AC I have seen. Very nice. Thank you.
I know, right? This is the plane that prompted me to buy one for myself. Still waiting for for the four stroke engine though. You can see mine in some of my other videos.
Fabulous scale flying...
Great camera work thank you for sharing.
@spidernad1 Thanx, wish there would be more activity here, we can see a rc airshow here every september
Very nice plane and sound
Super nice plane. Great job flying it scale.
The plane is a real Beauty :))
There are 48 thumbs down....those are truly 48 sick people!
I thought the same thing. Some people are just picky about how people hold the camera and or how clear the video may be or what ever. There's some crazy folks in this world. Lol.
Probably just envy...
Nice fligth and an amazing plane !
I would love a composite model !
what a beauty looks and sounds great happy flying !!!
