Definitely a upgrade from what you had. Btw, make sure to clean the lint screen plenum/duct since lint has a tendency to build up at the bottom of the plenum and eventually will choke down the airflow if enough lint has a chance to buildup at the bottom of the plenum. Also, if the thermal fuses go out for whatever reason and the ductwork is clean and unobstructed, I’d just would bypass them since they can be problematic when they trip for no reason. Of course some people will argue that’s dangerous etc. but all dryers from the beginning had a high limit thermostat located next to the heating element, they just added thermal fuses for legal purposes and such. The 1963 Whirlpool Imperial dryer I have doesn’t have any thermal fuses in it whatsoever, never had any issues with anything catching on fire or getting damaged.
On this day, we've all been anticipating for a direct drive comeback. Thus we finally witness the return of an old legend Whirlpool-Chan take action whilst we watch she makes our clothes shining bright as gold like never before.
Beautiful machine. I'm excited to replace the LG front loader we have with a Direct Drive. Lookin at a Nice Kenmore ELITE, Kenmore 80 series, Roper Direct Drive, or Whirlpool Gold. Ill be happy with any of them because they will actually clean my clothes
A normal functioning neutral drain pack only takes 2 minutes of agitation to perform correctly. Try running this machine on extra slow agitation first thing in the morning for at least 2 minutes and see if if neutral drains. I doubt it will.
If you haven't already, be sure to check the inside of the inner tub. Mine has started rusting after 17 years. I will need to shell out $200 for a new inner tub
Keep that agitator from the admiral because for stuff like comforters won’t twist up with the dual action which would cause the comforter not to turn over. With the single action, the comforter will be scrubbed and pulled down with ease…
II only had 2 different types of washers my first one came with my house and it was a whirlpool direct drive washer and the timer only spin 1 direction and the only problem that it had that I never got to notice is that it had bad agitator dogs and the reason why I replaced the washer was because it was so rusty and the cabinet almost broke completely so that washer was destroyed because the water destroyed everything so i replaced it with a new washer is a whirlpool belt drive washer is so amazing but the only problem that it has sometimes is that it goes off balance but it only does that sometimes

Thanks for explaining why this one caused backup and the admiral didn’t. I didn’t know their pump motors were so different!

I’d GLADLY take your LG front loader
she also drains nicely right on top of a live extension cord plug.

so where did you exactly got this direct drive washer?
he said on facebook marketplace
Usually if it slipped into spin the motor coupler is on it's way out
Why does slipping into spin after wash bad?
The dryer actually has a light in the back of the drum. You do need a dryer light bulb that can handle the heat of the cycles.
Very cool. Rest in peace admiral, even though it kinda sucked.
What’d you do to the admiral washer.
A real washer!

It was sold with the rest of the Admiral washer
Sorry about the pluming😢

Why is it bad if it slips to a spin while draining
