I'm compiling and picking stocks that I'd love to hold on to for a few years before retirement, do you think these stocks will do better over the years? I'd love to retire at least $2million savings. Now you got to rely on a pretty good diversification if you must stay green. Up 21% and being cautious. Still better deal than letting it sit in savings or checking earning near 0-1% interest.

You've done an absolute top notch job on this. Very informative! started watching your videos earlier last year as a beginner before giving stocks a trial and I've been able to scale from $220K to $880K, I did get an advisor for supervision and accountability as you recommended.Thank you man!

Always good advice, and i like your slightly quirky style. My opinion is that a great many people overcomplicate investing.
They might make a few more bucks than i do from obsessing over it, but like you, i prefer to keep it simple and go on with my life.

Good points but I have come to find that I actually enjoy the hunt for that new ETF/index fund my fairly new portfolio could use to try to maximize gains/diversification. Whether it's tweaking your allocations or focusing on dividends as long as it keeps you motivated to keep investing it can be worth it even if the difference in total returns are negligible or non-existent.
I imagine it's sort of like working out; getting started and sticking with it is way more important than the particular type of work out regiment you choose so long as it's something that works.
I do recognize, however, that the majority of the time just investing in the total market, S&P or a standard three fund portfolio will beat, match or only slightly underperform an "optimized" portfolio over a long period of time.

With Fidelity treasury purchases (and CDs), you can specify that you want the tbill to roll when you purchase - last question - and I believe they send you a notice that the maturity is coming to permit you to take action near maturity. I’ve never selected a roll, and prefer to purchase new issues each time so I cannot say how effective the process is for you.

I've been buying IXN for the last 5 years which is a tech ETF and all of a sudden for last 3 days, I see a huge payoff. I am not a pro in investing but I've always buy and hold. I been holding SCHD SCHG and IXN for 5 years plus. I do understand the overlaps but I am in my 40s and in my aggressive mode just to catch up no matter what. Holding long term is the way I think. Hope Mr. Berger will give some feedback.

    Hey Rob, 👍
Thanks for the insight you provide in your videos. I'm new to investing, but have managed to build what I think are stable portfolios for me and my wife. I've entered our portfolios into Portfolio Visualizer and saw that I "would have" made great returns over the PAST 5 & 10 years. That's all good & fine, but is there a tool/website where I can enter our portfolio data and get an idea of how they will perform over the next 5-10 years?

I love it so when you have a long time to retirement you can take on more risk because you have more time to recover losses and in retirement you can take on more risk as you have less time. Makes sense to me, 90% stocks except for 5 years before and after retirement?

Mr. Berger, the segment about M1 Finance you seem surprised when asked about its 5.00% HY. You've been talking about it in your previous TH-cam videos about how it might be a good investment platform. I have been with M1 since 0 days but now it has grown to a point where they are now offering things. Back then there was just investing and it felt boring but now it's growing. Seems to me you don't like M1 or you it just a small speck in your analysis?

What are your views on this as a stock picking stategy?
Regional bank failures, media doom and gloom so I bought S&P 500 Financial Sector.
Doom and gloom over extremely unlikely US default so I bought US Treasuries, mainly 10 year, some 20 year.
AI bubble forming so I bought S&P 500 IT sector.
I just buy MSCI World the rest of the time.

Boating is very pollutive... do you see how much oil and gasoline these old motor engines dump into the water. That can't be good for the wildlife or the swimmers. The exhaust is channeled under water and you see this crude coming to the surface behind these boats. Ok maybe in the 1950's when pleasure boating was new; not so okay at all today. Nobody wants to eat breathe swallow or swim in boat exhaust motor oil and gasoline.
