QoD: If i was designing just one shoe, i'd design it to come with different peel-on peel-off outsoles (like touring ski 'skins') so that you could have bigger lugs for trail for example, or minimal and thus replaceable lightweight outsoles for road. No doubt this would be as successful as the Edsel but i'd love the R & D phase nevertheless.
Congrats on the 4 year anniversary of the Vlog. I was just telling my wife a couple days ago how impressed I’ve been by your consistency. It’s truly mind-blowing to anyone who understands the work and effort going into these. Grateful to have come across your channel
So happy they sent you these! I pre-ordered them simply to support their forward thinking business model. Even if the shoes don’t work for me, they look cool enough for casual use. Win-win!
Happy Easter Seth! 4 years im hearing - incredible! 11th April is also a special date for me so I will now never forget! Ive been following for one year - I remember what I thought the 1st time I watched a vlog and I never thought at that time id be following every single day! Thanks for being here, thanks for giving!!
I've just started watching. Came across your channel browsing for my next choice of running shoes (still not decided what pair) a couple of days ago. Great achievement with 4 years of a daily vlog. Your videos are amazing. Keep up the fantastic work!
Haven’t stopped and watched anything lately , oddly inside quarantine life has been busy. Great to hear your voice and hope the Fam is healthy and Blessed. #outrunningdepression
Congrats for your 4 year anniversary! Watching your vlog since the first episode as an ealy bird. Amazing! Keep on rocking the shoedio, rock the future races and thanks for all!
Woo! I've been waiting for you to try the shoe, since I've seen impression vids from other TH-camrs. I was thinking of preordering the Voyager model too. Hoping Uncle Mike does well with the brand, because we need more < $100 running shoes!
QoD: Wide versions. My biggest complaint with running shoes is that most do not come with a wide version. I need that or I get blisters, even with the large toe box in Altras.
100% agree not enough wide sneakers. I need wide stability sneakers so it’s difficult for me. When wide is available the colors are hideous too. Wide feet people want nice sneakers too.
Pre-ordered a couple months ago. Like the idea of a subscription service. Roll out seems to be quite long from the actual pre-order date and I cannot wait to try them.
Monte Comeau It’s been a journey but we’re so close! Once we hit July, you’ll be able to order & receive without the long wait. Thanks for the support!
Happy 4 year vlog anniversary and Happy Easter Seth. QD. My running shoe design would have to have a resilient out sole for higher volume trading so big miles could be run in shoe without too much wear to the point shoe is not serviceable. Also good room in toe box.
That’s a very pretty shoe. I really like the look of them. QD: I want rubber on the soles. I’m so tired of wearing out shoes. I want a pair that I can get more than 400kms out of. Well done on four years btw. Incredible effort.
I don‘t know, I run in Epic reacts and they are notorious for not having any outsole (in the actual place were you strike). And I don‘t miss it. I think as long as there are deep enough grooves in the bottom of the midsole to survive a few mm of wear, why not design the stack height with some wear in mind and just let it be. Since the react is rubber based grip is actually crazy good - even on wet road.
QD: if I were designing a running shoe my number one feature would be a light soft sock like upper. I feel like a lot of shoes miss the mark on ultimate comfort and fit with the upper.
Congrats on the 4 year milestone Seth! I’m not sure the Voyager will last as long as you estimate, since a long lasting shoe wouldn’t make a lot of sense in a subscription model. But regardless I preordered some back in February and I can’t wait to get them on foot in July
I absolutely LOVE the idea of recycling these shoes! This is something we should all try to do more often, giving them to Goodwill or something similar.
Hi Seth, I don't know if you read all of the comments actuelly as you used to do at the begening of this adventure ! I follow this channel since the end of 2018 when you have 4 or 5k subs I think and the content is better and better as the channel grow ! Sorry for my english again and again ! Just a short message from an old subscriber, I could say ! Keep doin it well, and have a good run ! 🏃♂️
4 year anniversary Seth - amazing job there. Hope the DeMoor family has a blessed Easter. I dont know, do these look like the original Nike Frees to anyone else? Its a good think for me if they actually are like that because I liked them. QOD - kind of boring for me but I would make sure it had ample room in teh forefoot - does not have to be Altra big (although I will admit liking it) but for sure needs good forefoot space, a breathable upper enough softness to cushion but not deaden the road, and be light (is that too much?) LOL if my 1080v10s somehow lost like 3 oz yet be pretty much the same I think that would get close...
When I buy a running shoe it needs to have a minimal heel counter, no arch support, and a lower drop. This shoe meets all those requirements for me and might be an ideal shoe for tempos and track intervals. I also like supporting the smaller, more innovative companies out there.
Congrats on 4 years!! QOD: if I designed a running shoe it’d be some combo of zero drop like Altra, the durability and foot shape of a Topo, and the midsole of a Sketchers or Saucony or something like that. p.s. Pre-ordered the Atreyu. They should arrive just as I’m needing some new road shoes.
The FOD Runner I preordered the first day and it feels like forever. My current shoes are spent but I don’t want to buy a new pair and then have these shoe up😂. Super excited for them to arrive!
QOD: 1st and foremost is support under the arch of the foot. This single factor limits my shoe selection more than any other and is the #1 reason I run mostly in Hokas. You can typically find the type of stack height, cushion, stability, etc you’re looking for within a brands line of shoes, but lots of brands cut away too much at the arch for me and I can’t even consider their shoes. They just won’t work for me. Current favorites are Hoka Arahi and New Balance Vongo for training and original version Hoka Mach for racing. Hoping to get ahold of the new Hoka Rocket X that debuted at the marathon trials for racing.
Look at the guy's reaction at minute 8:04. Today I did a 20,5K trail, 700m vertical gain, with my new La Sportiva Jackal (the brand's first ultra distance trail shoe). What a fantastic shoe, fit, design, feeling, performance!!! Greetings and Happy Easter from Salzburg/Austria!!!
Hey Seth! Video series idea for you. Your top 5 race shoes for all the major distances (5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, and Ultra). Or since you’ve discussed your shoe rotation, maybe top 5 for each type of shoe (Long run, easy, trail, and tempo)
My shoe design would have air conditioning, basic rocket engines that ignite in toe off and of course the ability to store my iPhone and a few gels 😂👍🏃♂️🏃♂️
QD: It'd have to look awesome, first and foremost. I commented yesterday about how much I love Altras, but often they just look sad. If I could get a shoe that looked as dope as the dopest Nike or Hoka, that functionally was an Altra, whoever designed it would have my business for life!
caleb allen I, personally, enjoy most of my shoes from various brands around that 150-200 mile marker. In ATREYU, I feel similar, but would side towards the 150 range. Therefore, I would probably opt in for the 1, or 2 month subscription when those are available. The price, in my case, would allow me to re-up on my Atreyu’s for the same price as most retail shoes, and thus get the best of both worlds. Performance, and fresh pairs.
QOD: multipurpose shoe, where you can vary the type of shoe with a range of different replaceable insoles. Soft and cushioned for long runs, something firmer for tempo days and an insole with a carbon plate for race day. You’d change the shoe more often than the insole. And a narrow heel counter as I have narrow heels!
Hey Seth, I would love to hear your thoughts on the VJ shoes. They can be found if you google VJ USA. They used to be a solely European running company made for steep mountain running but now they’re available in the USA. Personally I love them.
QOD: Wouldn’t it be cool to have an air bag like Nike Air but use Reebok pump technology to change the firmness of the sneaker? Imagine doing your warm up with it slightly deflated for a soft ride, and then pumping it up to a firmer midsole to pick up the pace?
Wade Glass We’re definitely working on it - we’ve successfully piloted two custom operations thus far. We’re confident that we can get the program up and running by 2021!
I have mine on order for June/July .. Nice shorts Seth ❤️ They could put the weight on the tongue label - since they already put the size information there QOD: foot shape toebox - just like Altra & Topos .. I'm over shoes that you have to fit your feet into -
When you make your durability mileage predictions, you always base it on the outsole. Do you consider that for many people, especially on shoes with durable outsoles, it is the midsole that loses life before the outsole is even close to being done.
detectingMO Lol I used to be 225 lbs and got a good 1600 km / 1000miles out of some Nike structures over a period of 5 years running on and off, hating the shoes all the while not knowing that a store had sold me a stability shoe, because I knew nothing. I thought blisters were normal since I always had got them since I was a teen. What I‘m trying to say is: Thank you Seth for putting out so much knowledge!
You should give all the running shoes you have reviewed rating cards with stats for comfort, durability, weight ,ext. It will make it easier for the viewers to know which shoes are the best for each category and style of running.
QD: - Carbon fiber plate - lightweight and plush midsole - low and supportive heel bcs I suffer from Achilles’ tendon. - design and specific socks to wear with the shoe, so I can guarantee nobody gets blisters. - make canals between the midsole and foot so de sweat can run out. I don’t care is you get in a pothole, either way the water is going out.
Great work on the Vlog, Seth. Kudos. QOD.. I would concentrate more cushion where people actually strike. Similar to Nike Alpha/Vapofly. Protect the forefoot. Aggressive forward rocker. Wide flat laces. Nothing extraneous.
I tried to pre-order a pair. Not happening. All 3 colors sold out in normal sizes. Maybe they'll restock soon. Or ill drive an hour north to Austin and maybe I can get them from the factory :)
Love learning about new companies, but I'm a little hesitant about that midsole. It looks really firm, which would kill my joints on longer runs. I need foam, not rubber. Maybe it can be used on tempo runs.
Seth James DeMoor Okay, I’ll work on it. Also, recommended my brother Rich Soares who is the founder and host of Colorado based Mile High Endurance podcast which interviews endurance athletes on a wide range of issues try to get you on his podcast for an interview podcast. Think Sage Canaday would be interesting too. Colorado has a rich resource of endurance athletes as you know. milehighendurancepodcast.com/

Congratulations Seth! It takes ultra dedication to get a vlog out every day for a year much less 4 years! Speaks to mental toughness.
You've obviously never owned a pair of British Knights. Layers.
Congrats on the 4 year anniversary of the Vlog. I was just telling my wife a couple days ago how impressed I’ve been by your consistency. It’s truly mind-blowing to anyone who understands the work and effort going into these. Grateful to have come across your channel
Grateful you found the channel as well and for your constant engagement in the comments, hope you can stick around for another four years!
The guy at 8:05 lol, great review and vibes in the video Seth, always a pleasure to watch
So happy they sent you these! I pre-ordered them simply to support their forward thinking business model. Even if the shoes don’t work for me, they look cool enough for casual use. Win-win!
Brilliant 🙌🏼 great job supporting them
We look forward to hearing your thoughts! 🙂
You'll look dumb with the name of the 'neverending story' boy on your feet. I predict the company will fail and go the way of British Knights.
Congrats on 4th year....kudos to Ur commitment, Keep inspiring...
I've just started watching. Came across your channel browsing for my next choice of running shoes (still not decided what pair) a couple of days ago. Great achievement with 4 years of a daily vlog. Your videos are amazing. Keep up the fantastic work!
Congrats....first time viewer ... May you have many more years of Vlogs
QD: I definitely would make a zero drop shoe and a wide toe box. Really enjoy that in Altras. Have a good holiday Seth!
Just pre ordered a pair. Great videos Seth. Love the way you keep us informed.
Haven’t stopped and watched anything lately , oddly inside quarantine life has been busy. Great to hear your voice and hope the Fam is healthy and Blessed. #outrunningdepression
This is a breath of fresh air. That shoe seems awesome. Especialky with that low pice. The future will be intresting
Congrats on four years DeMoor family!!! Hve a good holiday.
Is it just me or are there a heap of great shoes out at the moment??
Yes! I don't even need shoes but I REALLY want to buy some now
Congrats for your 4 year anniversary! Watching your vlog since the first episode as an ealy bird. Amazing! Keep on rocking the shoedio, rock the future races and thanks for all!
Thank you! Will do!
Happy 4th anniversary, Seth. Keep up the spirit and enjoy running. Be safe!
Woo! I've been waiting for you to try the shoe, since I've seen impression vids from other TH-camrs. I was thinking of preordering the Voyager model too. Hoping Uncle Mike does well with the brand, because we need more < $100 running shoes!
Congratulations on the Anniversary
Really enjoyed this video, thanks Seth! Would love to see you review more brand new or not well known running shoe companies in the future!
Radical! Shout out to Atreyu METAL! 🤘🏽 Shoes look awesome too!
Happy passover , happy easter and congratulation on your 4th anniversary . GBU !
Great to see a review of these! Hope you’re recovering well. Happy Easter!
Happy anniversary & congrats to the hardest working dude on TH-cam! As a fellow TH-camr I know it’s darn hard to publish so frequently.
Hi guys! First time commenting here! QD: decent replacement insole included! Great stuff, loooove watching your vlogs, congrats!
I may have just subscribed but congratulations on the anniversary
Many thanks Joe!
Can't wait to try them for the Italian market :) 4 years of amazing content. You inspire me and my community. Thanks!
QoD: Wide versions. My biggest complaint with running shoes is that most do not come with a wide version. I need that or I get blisters, even with the large toe box in Altras.
Some shoes have a roomy tor box but the mid is to narrow. That's my biggest issue.
Filip Bajan i have same issue, so hard to find shoes that fit me
I'm with you !!!
100% agree not enough wide sneakers. I need wide stability sneakers so it’s difficult for me. When wide is available the colors are hideous too. Wide feet people want nice sneakers too.

happy easter to you and your lovely family seth ...well done and congrats on a great four years ...long may you run ...
Happy 4 year vlog anniversary and Happy Easter Seth. QD. My running shoe design would have to have a resilient out sole for higher volume trading so big miles could be run in shoe without too much wear to the point shoe is not serviceable. Also good room in toe box.

Thats why they are so cheap and offer a subscription service because they don't have any rubber.
Amazing! Congrats. 4 years! Definite ultra “marathon” vlog 😀👍🏃♂️🏃♂️
WOW !! quite an amazing feat .. Congrats, and keep up the good work !
Gotta try these!!! Look awesome!!! I like bright bold colors on my running shoes. Stand out!!! Atlanta, GA 🤠🇺🇸👍
QD: if I were designing a running shoe my number one feature would be a light soft sock like upper. I feel like a lot of shoes miss the mark on ultimate comfort and fit with the upper.
Huge respect for Atreyu for how they operate
4 YEARS... That means ive been watching for like 1.5ish. the 3 year anniversary vlog seems like a week ago but the channel has grown a ton since then!
Yes! Crazy. We march on.
Congrats on the 4 year milestone Seth! I’m not sure the Voyager will last as long as you estimate, since a long lasting shoe wouldn’t make a lot of sense in a subscription model. But regardless I preordered some back in February and I can’t wait to get them on foot in July

Dropping down to $55 for a subscription now babyyyy 🤘🏻 can’t wait!
I absolutely LOVE the idea of recycling these shoes! This is something we should all try to do more often, giving them to Goodwill or something similar.
CAIrondad It’s the way of the future (and the present)! It’s a very important topic to us.
I was a early preorder and got a smoking deal from Atreyu. Really looking forward to mine arriving and love all the ideas behind the company.
Great review! I preordered mine in February, just waiting for them to arrive. Very excited to run in them.
bcockton 🙌🏼

I made preorder on 21th February , waiting to receive them around June ..wow
Yaki Weiss Wooo! July can’t come soon enough. 🚀
Atreyu - Could you do a custom SJD colorway? I'd buy a pair.
Let’s do this 🙌🏼
We like where your head is at 😎
Oh yes. Loving this idea. Congrats Seth on the 4 years and can't wait to see your 50 mile review.
My shoe design would have air conditioning, basic rocket engines that ignite in toe off and of course the ability to store my iPhone and a few gels 😂👍🏃♂️🏃♂️
You'd need the rockets to help haul the air conditioner.
DOOM good point! Bigger rockets maybe? Hey it my first attempt to design a shoe 😂
I can’t wait to get mine! Ordered mine already!
Chris Goodman July can’t come soon enough! Thanks for the support.
QD: It'd have to look awesome, first and foremost. I commented yesterday about how much I love Altras, but often they just look sad. If I could get a shoe that looked as dope as the dopest Nike or Hoka, that functionally was an Altra, whoever designed it would have my business for life!
Atreyu- If you’re reading this, consider making high and low volume models instead of men’s and women’s
Anthony Staples That’s a really cool suggestion! We’ll start looking into last volume instead of merely widths.
I pre-ordered this pair last February. Cannot wait to get my feet on it.
blueaxe27 Coming in hot, so soon! 🚀
I think atreyu themselves said the outsole would last 200-250 miles
caleb allen I, personally, enjoy most of my shoes from various brands around that 150-200 mile marker. In ATREYU, I feel similar, but would side towards the 150 range. Your personal narrative is more interesting than never ending shoe reviews.
Congrats on 4 years

FIRST! Regards to the family, Seth! Happy Easter! 🐣
Hey Seth, I would love to hear your thoughts on the VJ shoes. They can be found if you google VJ USA. They used to be a solely European running company made for steep mountain running but now they’re available in the USA. Personally I love them.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
🙏🏻
Cool shoe, I like the simplicity. Ever going to try out the Brooks Hyperian tempo?
David Ratz yeah, I’d like to see that too. I’ve heard so many good things about the Hyperion Tempo.
happy annivlogging to you idol seth...God bless...keep on running 🏃🏃 to inspire us more...manuel from the philippines..
I have been waiting for this one...
QOD: Wouldn’t it be cool to have an air bag like Nike Air but use Reebok pump technology to change the firmness of the sneaker? Imagine doing your warm up with it slightly deflated for a soft ride, and then pumping it up to a firmer midsole to pick up the pace?
Another interesting thing about Atreyu, they are offering a customized upper option for School Teams with 50 pair minimum. No up charge.
Wade Glass We’re definitely working on it - we’ve successfully piloted two custom operations thus far. We’re confident that we can get the program up and running by 2021!
The thickest insole I ever seen is the Nike react insole in the dimsix air force ones its like 3x thicker than that
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Love this channel
I have mine on order for June/July .. Nice shorts Seth ❤️ They could put the weight on the tongue label - since they already put the size information there
QOD: foot shape toebox - just like Altra & Topos .. I'm over shoes that you have to fit your feet into -
Happy Easter and Passover from here in Israel
Chag sameach from Singapore!
When you make your durability mileage predictions, you always base it on the outsole. Do you consider that for many people, especially on shoes with durable outsoles, it is the midsole that loses life before the outsole is even close to being done.
Yep I get about 200 miles out of eva foam midsoled shoes. 6'1" 210lbs
detectingMO Lol I used to be 225 lbs and got a good 1600 km / 1000miles out of some Nike structures over a period of 5 years running on and off, hating the shoes all the while not knowing that a store had sold me a stability shoe, because I knew nothing. I thought blisters were normal since I always had got them since I was a teen.
What I‘m trying to say is: Thank you Seth for putting out so much knowledge!
Glad you mentioned the band because I was wondering where I heard the name at
You should give all the running shoes you have reviewed rating cards with stats for comfort, durability, weight ,ext. It will make it easier for the viewers to know which shoes are the best for each category and style of running.
QoD: A carbon fiber plate and laces that you don't have to tie (e.g., Nike Peg 35 Shield, greepers).
Sagnik Bhattacharya I just use lock laces in my zoom flys 👍
QD: - Carbon fiber plate
- lightweight and plush midsole
- low and supportive heel bcs I suffer from Achilles’ tendon.
Happy birthday 😀
I tried to pre-order a pair. Not happening. All 3 colors sold out in normal sizes. Maybe they'll restock soon. Or ill drive an hour north to Austin and maybe I can get them from the factory :)
QD: Extra eyelet for runners knot, durable heel collar padding. I always blow out the heel collar padding on my ASICS
Happy anniversary! Not to be confused with Atreyu from Neverending Story
Love learning about new companies, but I'm a little hesitant about that midsole. It looks really firm, which would kill my joints on longer runs. I need foam, not rubber. Maybe it can be used on tempo runs.
QOD: Would design a shoe where you could adjust the pressure of the heel counter. I always have heel slippage and this would make the world to me.
Been watching since fall of 2018
Hoppy Easter!
Seth, where is your loyalty to Colorado? Please do a review of NEWTONS! Recommend both the Distance and the Kismet.
