@@CryptoFeez You'd think they would have taken a hint from the 32x and Sega Cd, that consumers don't really enjoy multiple form factors of games. At least if it came with a cart slot from the start, the consumer wouldn't be bothered or gated off by having to be additional hardware.
Fun fact: the X-shaped Xbox was used for demo purposes at gaming stores. So whenever you went to the store to play a demo of a game that just came out you were playing it on that thing!

I"m not surprised that the WiiU had tested JoyCons. I think the WiiU was a stop gap, proof of concept machine. That knob on the Sony Prototype TV Game Machine... perhaps that idea comes around from time to time, and we'll see it come to fruition finally with the Playdate?
Nah nah nah, listen, the boomerang controller, it would’ve been lowkey genius, because werent they focusing on sixaxis? That would’ve been pretty goated
I was actually disappointed when the Xbox came out and did not resemble the one they showcased. I would love to have that giant silver X on my entertainment center looked so awesome.

I honestly wish Sony would offer a larger version of their controllers. It's a bit too small for me. I recall I bought a "Patrick Star" controller from Gamestop YEARS ago for my daughter and I absolutely LOVED it because it was a little larger than the standard sized dualshock.
I remember back when I was in first grade (1988 or so) this girl named Chastity was being a braggart about her dad working for Nintendo of America. Of course none of us believed her. So she told us about how Nintendo was working on a new system with Sony. We all thought she was full of it. Of course those of us that were there (four or five of us) now know she wasn't.
I think the Xbox prototype looks fuckin awesome. Make it out of shiny plastic instead of aluminum and cut the width by 25-30% so it's not so wide and it would be sweet.
Prototype? Falcon, they released the ps3 boomerang controller along side the silver ps3 and recalled it for a year while they fixed it. It was the reason 360 won that console war, they had a year with no competition while Sony fixed the console. Then they launched it for $600 where as 360 had 3 tiers, arcade/pro/elite and it had a more affordable price point which was more enticing to consumers. Where as PlayStation only offered one system with a 20gb hard drive, I know there was a 60 but I don’t remember that at launch.
The PS3 boomerang seems like it was supposed to put motion controls first, kinda like how Nintendo thought that putting an analogue stick in the middle was how you handled 3d games.
