Hi Stu!--well done for being organised with yr shop, and adding a few treats too! Im not buying any treats, I'll only eat them if they're here! Not hosting anyone this yr so I'm not bothering with extra food. Im not a lover of Christmas anyway, so ill be glad when its all done with!!😂🤭
Great shop there Stu. It’s nice to treat yourself at Christmas if it fits within the budget. I try to buy extra shelf stable or freezer items from October onwards but I also allow myself an extra food and treat money in December. This money comes from my holiday food sinking fund which I put £15 a month in. This allows me a little extra at each holiday through out the year. At Christmas I take what ever is left in the fund, this year that is £100.
Nice of you to plan ahead for your guests. I just got home from Costco. Our groceries came to $831.00! It makes me want to cry! Merry Christmas to you!
Heiniken great choise😉 I hope you like it... Very descent shopping, plenty of healty things. I did buy 2 bottles of alcoholfree wine and 4 small bottles alcohol free cherries "cider" that alone was 25,- but it is for christmas as well. Won't cook very fancy ingredients with Christmas but homemade family recipes. Very tasty tomato cream soup ( tinned tomatoes and cream cheese chicken broth cubes and dried chives) , chicken ragout with carrots and peas for the main course (a friend brings parsnip puree ,might make stewed pears in red wine (alhol evaporates completely) with vanilla and cinnamon for dessert with a scoop of storebrand vanilla ice cream. Total amount about 20-25,-for about four people if you buy store brands and sales. Going out for christmas dinner would be very expensive anything of good festive food starts from 60,- and up per person drinks not included. This way you can eat what you want at the right time without screaming kids and people showing of loudly talking about their newest gadgets. 😳😅 I like a bit of peace and no upset/ heavy tummies afther dinner.
Stu your allowed to treat yoyrself for christmas glad you got your beer to and millies things make sure you two enjiy yourselves exactly its christmas its fir other people coming around yes we need more toulet paper thats okay
Personal irritation of mine 'haul'..... it is an Americanism... the definition is pull or drag with effort or force. or a quantity of something that has been stolen or is possessed illegally....... I think the Sainsbugs van did the 'hauling ' and it was fully paid for and legal....... 🤣😂
I’m American and the word “haul” irritates me as well. It implies that a great quantity of things have been purchased. What would you suggest as an alternative? “Grocery review?” “Grocer report?”
👍🏻👍🏻
❤the line, “It’s Christmas so that’s what’s happening.” Planning to use this on the family. Not sure in what context, but something will come up.
Enjoy! Normal to want some extras for the holidays!
What would Christmas be without some extras , and you have budgeted for this special time of the year, so no guilt, just enjoy ❤❤❤

You did a great shopping especially budgeting for it👍🇨🇦
I love Frazzles! You can only get them from British food stores here in NZ so I always grab some when I see them. Enjoy!
Enjoy!
A good shop Stu. Wishing you a very Happy Christmas.
Fab haul Stu 😀🎄🎅
Great shop there, Heineken fat free is my fave, of them all.❤
If you can’t have some tasty treats at Christmas when can you? You deserve it!
Nice to see you getting into Christmas mood, hope to see your decorated home soon. 😊
Stu has shown it last week ❤
I find that a lot of things are cheaper to buy in bulk. Egg’s definitely been one of them. I’ll always go for the bigger item if it works out cheaper.
You did well there Stu, you don't get much foryojr money nowadays.
Enjoy 👍
