John Cal's offense is good if you have really really good guards who can beat you off the bounce via the dribble drive. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this because you probably know their offense, but it really depends on how you like to play. We run this offense at the Juco I coach at and I love it because I like to play inside out. So we have three really good bigs who are good at creating space and in the screen and role game, so it opens up a lot for our guards. Two completely different systems with two completely different focuses, but both great (dribble drive motion and 3 out 2 in motion). If you don't have 3 or 4 speedy guards who can really get down hill and space the floor, dribble drive won't work for you.
I hate this offense, we ran it in high school. If you have a big that cannot shoot, they will sag and clog up the lane resulting in a lot of bad, rushed 3's. 6:40 is the epitome of this offense.
In the video the cross screen is taking place at the foul line but in your diagram the cross screen action is on the low block. Do they do both out of different alignments?
This is the part that’s missing from basketball today. Running sets and finding defensive weaknesses.
That is point of strategy.you realise how foolish it is 😂😂😂
I think you should do a video on dukes offense or John Caliparis offense. Never the less your videos are great
Thanks!
