Out of so many masterpieces she's written, this is the ultimate for me. I used to wonder why she rarely does it live, hearing this version made me realize...This is not an easy song to sing lol...that's an understatement!! And that sweet acoustic guitar riff throughout . The entire song has such an innocent sound.
Ditto. First time I heard this, I was lying on a couch in a club, around 1989. This song came on, and I levitated off the couch and ran to the DJ's booth to find out what it was called. Bought the twelve-inch and the album the next day. Absolutely my favorite song by her and in my top ten of all-time.
