Samsung - The Frame TV - Unboxing

- In this video my wife and I unbox and set up my new 55" Samsung Frame TV as well as a white frame bezel attachment. Overall, it was a smooth setup. There are still some quirks we need to figure out, but I will share my first impressions and some more videos once I read the documentation.
I spent s ton for a Samsung 65 inch Qled 8K and it was worth every penny. Movies are amazing, and gaming is magical.

Do you know if you can use the mat framing around watching TV or that option is not yet offered? To play tv within the actual shadow box framed with the mat?

So the Art Mode attempts to simulate an analogue medium like a print which isn‘t light emitting. I love this natural effect on my tablet and this subtlety is THE reason I‘m scouring through these „The Frame“ reviews considering it the only TV I‘m willing to consider buying. But it’s seems you didn‘t know this was the idea of it all 😟 At least in the shop I would expect someone would let you know?
Yeah... I guess I was just hoping that it would've worked better than they said it would... But now that I've mounted it on the wall it seems to work better.

I saw in the video you were struggling with the dim Art Mode. You might have already figured it out, but in case you haven't, I just wanted to let you know that you can manually adjust brightness and color-tone for the Art Mode on Smart View mobile app. Hit the setting button on the app and there are a list of Art Mode settings you can change to your liking.
Yes, I figured it out... I will likely post a follow-up when I get a chance. I've been away on business for 4 days...

burn in is only a problem with oled not qled.

I will eventually hang it on the wall. But I need to fix my fireplace before I can attempt to hang it. It came with a "No Gap Wall Mount." I think the photo-receptor will work better hanging on a wall, but it's only a theory.
It doesn't seem to like the dark wood on my TV console table plays well with that sensor.
Can you answer a question asap? Can you measure the exact height and width of the TV for me with the frame snapped on? I need to know this. The website says 48.6" x 29.6" but I need to make sure for the space it would fit in.
With the white bezel I measure 48 7/8" The height of the frame is exactly 28". With the legs it is 29 5/8"
The legs slide out of their receptacles.

BTW...did the white bezel come with it? Or do any bezels come with it at all?
There is a normal blackish-grey sub-bezel that looks fine by itself underneath. But they offer these three other bezels that magnetically stick on. None come with it though. It costs $200 extra. Which is kinda crazy for a simple piece of metal that's painted white. The wood is actually wood though. You could probably make your own and magnetically stick on your own bezel if you are handy.
Can you, or anyone else, confirm if you can remove that stand once its inserted? Want to use the stand temporarily before wall mounting, but looking at the design of it i'm not sure it can be removed once its pushed into the TV?
I have added the little stand legs and removed them several times as I test fit them while I am building my fireplace. They friction fit in the bottom of the TV.
Guys, I purchased this product in 55 k and the manager of that store said that this is QLed but the word Qled is not mentioned any on box, I doubt it is not qled. Please suggest me
It is QLED, says even on the website. Most of the Samsung QLEDs (or all) come with One Connect.
How is it with clouding and backlight bleeding on this The Frame TV?
I haven't noticed... But then again... I am not an expert! Do you have any examples of what to look for?
Elliot Geno Well, if you haven't found anything yet I don't want to ruin your experience of seeing these "defects" because when you once seen them (if there is any) you will see them all the time and probably get annoyed. But yeah, in very dark black screen, in a dark/evening environment there might be "cloud"-effects in some of the corners of the screen or in the middle of the screen. It's not visible in daylight or in a light screen. Same for backlight bleeding, the backlight panel are "leaking" light on occasion where it shouldn't. I had the KS7005 tv and switched it two times, then finally returned it to the store. For such an expensive tv I personally wouldn't want to have any defects at all.
Is it per TV or per model that you'd notice such a thing?

The tv does not display a slideshow in the art mode. This is totally crap. Samsung please update software!!! Many people would buy this tv to conveniently display a slideshow of own images such as favourite family pictures but then they discover that it cannot be done. It is very disappointing. I wonder why all of the reviews do not mention this!!!

J Abraham Covers can buy for fairly cheap on Walmart, it is qled, just search Samsung the frame tv on Walmart and or bestbuy.

It’s “The Frame”, mount it on the wall. And you never lay a TV down like that, it was meant to be opened from the bottom. Geez.
