    It’s absolutely amazing, but I really enjoyed the sound of the thread going through the webbing & when the thread hits the table. It was rather relaxing, so much so that I started to fall asleep

    Love this tutorial...I was going to do a three ring dreamcatcher but had the idea to do inverted webs on the "face" sides only.
    Like yours much better so decided to try it first. Thank you for inspiration!!!

    I definitely will, Natasha! Hopefully in the next couple of weeks! Thanks for the request!

    Why not wrap your loose thread around a card or something, at least at the beginning? It makes it easier to see what you are doing, stops the tangling and you spend a lot less time just pulling thread through.

      Thank you for watching :). I'm hoping to do one with 2 hoops in the next couple of weeks - haven't had time to get to the craft store yet!

    If you run short on the waxed cord, do a double fisherman's knot to join the new cord to the old. It is barely noticeable and you CANNOT undo it.

      Thanks, Michele! I'll have to look up the knot!

    I use pegs normal ones and the mini craft ones to hold threads if I need to stop in the middle of a project

    How did you get the hoops to fit in each other without cutting bvb the weld? If metal rings all the same size with no give its as total mystery to me. 😫

      I think the hoops have to be made of a certain diameter and kind of metal for there to be a little bend... The ones I buy have a very slight amount of give in them - maybe a couple of ml room to move them. You might find it easier to work with hoops that are thinner (maybe twice the diameter of a clothes hanger), but not too thin... If you go too thin, there'll be give, but the rings won't have enough surface area to fit into each other without sliding. Either way, once they're joined by glue and leather, they can hold for years! I hope that helps :).

    Can you please do a tutorial with two hoops!!!??

    Beautiful but time consuming I imagine. I'd recommend doing this on a table, looks like your siting on the floor doing this.

      You're absolutely right - It is much better to work at a table: At the time I was making the video, we were in a small apartment and, for the sake of space, we did not have a table, couch, or chairs! Either way, it's definitely a good idea to stretch between steps!

    can I do this with just 2 rings, so I get the hang of it before I use 3?

    • @avrakl13
      @avrakl13  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly! Bind two rings perpendicularly to each other; weave across one, then weave the other. Let me know how it turns out!
