- Chad's been to Spain to ride the new Yamaha TMAX Tech Max. It might be just a scooter to most of us but Yamaha have sold over 350,000 worldwide.

I had a 2016 TMAX put 60k on it in 5yrs had a 60km round trip commute to work heavy traffic,faster roads, rain or shine. Do the same ride now on an XSR900SP would take the TMAX over the XSR any day to do the job. Use it everyday as a city tool and you’ll get it.
Do the Tmax will get your legs hot? compared to a traditional bikes just like your xsr900 especially in heavy traffic? Thanks!

Old models look much better than the new models , it was the dream bike for a lot of people

I've seen a number of reviews of this bike and I'm sure it is everything the reviews say it is. I own a Suzuki Burgman 650 AN Executive which is no longer available in Australia (where I live). I haven't ridden the TMAX (in any version) but I consider the Burgman to have been the benchmark for maxi-scooters. It is a 650cc with a CVT that has a manual option giving a 6th gear which leads to better fuel economy when on the open road touring. There is also a power option for more revs when in auto mode - that makes overtaking easier. The screen is both tall and wide and is electrically adjustable while riding. There are 2 glove boxes in the dash as well as a lockable compartment with 12volt socket for charging things. Under seat storage is enough for 2 full face helmets and since I added a top box, I got even more storage. Brand loyalty is a big factor for bike owners so I can see why many would opt for the TMAX. The Burgman is purely aimed at comfort touring whilst the Tmax is aimed at being a sporty scooter
Every chav/eu equivalent of a chav will aspire to get a Tmax not a burgman.
the burgman is a pair or doc martens and the Tmax is a pair of nike air max.
personally I like the Tmax far more because of it's looks and sporty side of design.
@@TheShubbah Thanks for your interest and comments. That's the great thing about bikes and scooters there is something for everyone. I'm looking at buying a Spyder RT to replace my Kawaski Vulcan Voyager.
Many ‘bikers’ seem to instinctively dislike these and never get to discover how good they are. That’s their loss. I have one and it’s tremendous.

I had 2 back in 2003 one for commuting and one for the weekend if I weren't out on my other bikes.
Handling is as close to a bike as you can get.really comfortable. Deffo come a long way since the first incarnation. They were 7k new back then so always been premium. back in 03 the Ltd edition yellow r6 was the same price.

I can see it being a car alternative in sunnier climates but as someone who's commuted through winter in Cumbria on an F800, I'll do my commuting in something with a roof.
In 🇫🇷 it is so much stolen you REALLY have to double check numbers before going for a used one… it is used more for drug delivery than for commuting !

Wasn’t the press review for this bike nearly two months ago? What took so long for Bike World to put a video up?
It was, this was shared with another page we won't mention so we waited for a while to load. Also, we sometimes edit to our TV schedule, this vid will be on our SKY show over the weekend.

Nice, but it is expensive. I rode a TMax for many years, loved the bike and the way it looked but it always hurt my coccyx so rides were limited to 30 mins or so.
Sadly with our weather and rate of thefts, it is unlikely to be a viable car alternative in the UK.
Negatives? It isn't that comfortable if you are taller either due to the seat hump and is also short of power if you ride with a pillion. Why no A category licence full power version, say, 60ps? I now have a Forza 750. Miss the TMax but the Honda works better for me.
Final point- why can't we get it in a light colour in the UK? Infuriating. Not everyone wants grey or dull petrol blue/black etc.
Hate the bike but love your jacket!! Where I can get the same @Bike World?

£12.000 listed here. I could get a new Ninja 1000 SX for that or a Suzuki GSX GT 1000 :O
Crazy money, but we aren't the target market. On the continent it's basically a family vehicle.

Hard to argue against the Ninja SX or Gixxer GT though. They're both a lot of bike for the money.

It’s not a scooter for everyone!!! The price is extremely high for a scooter! U can buy a car for that money but it is a amazing motorcycle we can’t say that it’s only a scooter such as Honda adv 750 ! The companies change the whole theory of scooters !!!

I have a 2019 530dx and the central locking mechanism for the cubby hole often gets jammed so I'd actually take the new non-locking one lol! Otherwise fantastic do it all bike,try one before you judge it!
I dunno what part of the world has a market for £12 scooters but it aint here haha, good luck Yamaha.

Thanks for the review guys. Bikes looks great. Its missing a lot though. And Yamaha and other brands have a lot better bikes of 12Grand.

It is in the countries Chad mentioned, that’s his point, that we’ve just not taken them up in the UK. It can’t just be the weather, you see people riding them in northern France and Italy. It’s is a lot of money though.
@@BikeWorldTVshow in my country Portugal you can easily use a motorbike all year round. So a replacement for a car easily, but for the price a 300cc is more than enough to commute, sp in the end i think in real wprld this is like a R1 for the road something like a r1 is to a r7 in real world, more a show off luxury kind of vehicle than a vehicle that you can use everyday
