I can say that I have used the plastic bag method after a good brush or vamp session. Yes....it works. I also use it during wolfing to keep my hair laid when at work (definitely can't rag up on my job). Shout out to Jezzy for this video.

The plastic bag method always work been doing it since the 70's OG true waver.
I was brushing my hair then the notification I dropped my brush
I live in South Texas where it's 110 degree weather and humidity. Though I've seen the plastic bag method before, Sunday was the first time that I tried it as well as switch to Cantu products and I can say by mid day if I have to work or be outside , my waves stay laid and in place. I still put on at least a stocking cap under my fitted work cap and I'm starting to see a difference. This week the weather is cooler and no humidity so that helps as well. I'm hoping with my brush sessions and continued training that my waves can get back to where they were when I was in my 20's and 30's. I'm a firm believer in the plastic method though. Connie Clarke use Luke warm water, preferably a clarifying shampoo. wet brush, add shampoo, scrub,rinse,shake out excess water, use blow dryer on low.( or put on fan til dry)
KNOCK BRUSH ON HARD SURFACE TO SHAKE LOOSE DEBRIS/DANDRUFF, USE A KEYBOARD DUSTER TO BLOW OUT THE EXTRA GRIT, WASH WITH COLD WATER AND SHAMPOO FOR ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME, THROW IN FREEZER RIGHT AFTER!!!
It gets soft due to hot water and possibly the soap you use to clean it. For really dirty brushes I suggest sprinkling baking soda on it and swishing the soda covered bristles in vinegar. It'll cause a reaction which will strip gunk and grime off the bristles. You then wash it out with cheap dish soap and warm water, then rinse it well in cold water and let them sit face down for about 6-8 hours. Do this and your brushes will be just like new, even the white bristle ones.
I WILL TRY THIS METHOD OUT AS WELL. GOOD LOOKS NATE.
