Arizona State will have had 25 days off from their last game to the Peach Bowl. That’s a long time. Whatever peak they hit they are now on the downward slide of that peak. They’re gonna be rusty. I wouldn’t expect them to make it a game.
I can see from your perspective, but I think differently (I'm an ASU fan). Yes quite a few weeks from the last game and that can cause some rust but here's some specific benefits that can particularly help ASU: 1- Healing! Expect ASU to have everyone at 100% health in particular Skattebo (while not hurt, being the bulldozer back he is does take a toll on the body), also with healing is a lot of time to tune up conditioning and strength with a couple weeks in the weight room. If anything ASU's guys will be stronger/faster than they were in the B12 ship. 2- Study! Normally you'd only have a 2-3 days to study your next opponent before you have to start applying strategy to your practices so realistically only 1-2 days is game prep if you're going from Saturday to Saturday. Texas has a little over a week and a half from the Clemson game while ASU has had over 3 weeks, plus the opportunity to watch Texas in person (absolutely some ASU coaches were there). That time gives the coaches to have meeting after meeting and tons of film study to do deep dives into Texas' play from their entire season. The players as well have lots of time to memorize every tendency and quirk of the opponent. Then well over a week to really practice plan it, the scout team doing deep dives into Texas' film to be better practice opponents. 3 - Motivation. ASU is absolutely the underdog. Nobody has ever given ASU a fair shake much less a shred of respect for what they've accomplished this season. Football experts have time and time again said ASU is nothing, and only when they got towards the end of the season did experts lean to ASU to win. Nobody expected ASU to win the B12 Championship by double digits, but they did. The ASU team has fed off this disrespect all season. Leading to this... 4 - HC Dillingham. He's a lightning rod of passion that the players and coaches alike have united with. The players believe in their coach and love him to the old saying "run through a brick wall for him". Dillingham will also prepare his team better than anyone. He's an offensive guru, too. He led the offense at Oregon with Bo Nix before ASU. 4.5 - Dillingham's strategy. He's very capable of making a plan to adjust for an opponent's strengths. I specifically identify the ASU/UCLA game in 2023 the last Pac-12 game between the two. The significance of the game is that ASU was 2-7 before the game and ASU essentially dominated UCLA and negated UCLA's main strength - it's DEFENSIVE LINE led by Laiatu Latu (P12 DPOY 2023). You should see the game highlights. ASU actually did things to play keep-away from their defense and the ASU offense overwhelmed UCLA. Meanwhile ASU defense shut down UCLA's offense to just one touchdown. UCLA only had 3 games that season where they scored 7 points or less, and one of them was #11 at-the-time Utah. I say all this not to say ASU is a shoe-in to win, but take it from someone who works in college football now, including once working for ASU football that you cannot underestimate ASU. Everyone else has and still does and has proved them wrong every time. I seriously believe ASU will make the game much closer than the 14 point spread expected. The game will be decided by a touchdown or less (the edge is either way).

Don't forget after Texas beats ASU, whomever they against OSU/Oregon, they get to play them in Texas. So it'll be a tough climb for either team to beat Texas with equal talent. Texas plays at a higher level when their fans show up, which it will be 80/20 Texas to OSU/Oregon. It may overwhelm either team.
Texas run defense better be ready for Cam Skattabo. He should have been a Heisman finalist very underrated RB going to definitely be playing on Sundays. My prediction 34-21 Texans.
The difference in this game is going to be the match ups how these two teams match up. Texas is a lot bigger on both sides of the Ball & depth Texas has the depth Arizona doesn't. Some guy who knows Texas inside out said Texas changed their defensive scheme in the 2nd half against Clemson. I believe he called the first half scheme a nascar package and dropped it in the 2nd half. Just maintaining a victory in the 2nd half I suppose.

I think this is one of the best coverage of this game as an ASU fan I’m just happy we are in this game so I think we can win I have to because I’m an ASU fan but I’m tired of hearing Arizona coverages saying ASU will definitely win and we will dominate :’D its too much
Texas by 10
Texas 34
Arizona State 13
Hook em!
Fork the cow! Asu 42 Texas 6
Quinn Ewers is the ONLY QB to lead his team to the CFP in both 2023 and 2024.
Thanks for that 🥴
Because 2 of the others went to the NFL. So it’s just between him and Jalen Milroe, who obviously didn’t make it.
It may overwhelm either team.
yall looking ahead like its a guaranteed win
“Even Quinn Ewers” what’s with the slander? He’s one of the best quarterbacks in college football lol
One of the best? 💀 buddy is about to get forced out by archy next year and transfer to ND, be real. That boy is a traffic cone in the pocket
Ewers is a trash can
He really isn't
Really isn’t one of the best lol
I think it going to be real close but I pulling for texas anyway
ASU came to play….👊🏻🏈
@@g-man2228 Heck yeah they did! Tough close game! Now they can enjoy the off season though….
Texas run defense better be ready for Cam Skattabo. He should have been a Heisman finalist very underrated RB going to definitely be playing on Sundays. My prediction 34-21 Texans.
From start to finish couldn't have been anymore correct!
The difference in this game is going to be the match ups how these two teams match up. Texas is a lot bigger on both sides of the Ball & depth Texas has the depth Arizona doesn't. Texas has played in more bigger games then Arizona. Also Texas has played in past 10 days Arizona has been off for over month by the time the rust is off of Arizona it will be to late. The size of Texas will wear down Arizona. 350 pounds bearing down on u for 60 minutes
Yep - UofA would get smoked. Now do ASU.
Texas isn’t playing Arizona my guy. You sure know your football. 😂
If you didn't know what im talking about then you don't know a anything about football if you where in front of me right now I would feed you a football.
@@mmmmmmmmmmssssdd Arizona or ASU you know who I'm referring if you knew half of what I knew about football you would keep your little comments to yourself. or if you knew anything about me.
@@DRIVE-aa99 if you knew about college football then you know calling ASU "Arizona" is the equivalent of calling Texas "Texas A&M" or calling Alabama "Auburn." Completely different schools, in completely different cities, with completely different histories, and completely different uniforms.
ASU will pull the upset!
Only way is if Quinn or others turn the ball over 3 or more times and have a bunch of back breaking penalties. Because sun devils are fixing to have a really hard time moving the ball.
@notpoliticaljustarealist3969 Ewers is the horns only weakness (on the field), because texas is ELITE, man (they should be, they paid 20+ mil). The Devils have fought too hard to just lay down though, I think it will be a good game
Come back and tell me how eating crow taste? Texas wins this game….
@notpoliticaljustarealist3969 yeah, we haven't faced a defense like this all season, so I'm interested to see how/if we move the ball
hell yeah brother. cheers from glendale
Love how pate has not talked about this game yet lol
Its 12 noon central time, 1 pm eastern time…
Pulling for Texas in this one 🤘🏼
RTR
I had a dream last night, the world was at peace, I was in heaven!! Arizona ST pulls off massive upset as there intensity makes Texas nervous and two costly fumbles and a INT in the red zone will seal there fate..
@@CLo-ly1ic It was all a dream pal… reality is ASU can watch the CFP from their couches now…..
Yes Arizona will play their best , too bad it won't matter. And I like sparky
Arizona's not playing.
@@vjmickelson1them calling us arizona shows how little they know about the sun devils
If anyone is looking ahead and talking smack its been the Arizona State players. Texas players have shown nothing but respect and will be ready to go next level on ASU.
what world are you living in?
I hope UT isn’t watching all these experts saying how good UT is and that they should win.
Poor ASU….they are going to get murdered in this game. ASU got. Gift in getting into the CFB playoffs!
As an ASU fan I'll take it. Rather get blown out by a great team in a game that matters than win in some other mediocre bowl game. Won't be fun but at least we'll see how we measure up but more importantly, helps with recruiting for the future.
Lmaooooo you were terribly wrong, these Texas fans are delusional to think a team who only lost to Georgia twice would actually look like a unstoppable team against an inferior opponent
Can someone help me out with asu bowl experience and records? I’m not talking about nobody-cares bowls. It feels like as if too many talking heads are babbling with gibberish without any actual facts to back up their baseless comments.
There's not much to say. If you're generous and count the Holiday Bowl as bigger than a nobody-cares bowl, they haven't been to one since 2013. They haven't been to a major bowl since losing to Ohio State in the Rose back in 1997, literally years before any current player was even born.
If there is an upset I think it’ll be this game. That being said, I don’t think we’ll see any upsets this year.
Agree
It's one million percent Boise State.
HOOKEM! Admit it CFB fans, Texas will only continue to ascend as now we can finally use all our 💰 to KEEP the best talent in the country, aka Texas HS players. AND now we can even drain only the absolute best from other states. Need proof? If Klubnik goes to Texas this natty would have been a wrap. Texas defense plus amazing QB play (aka not Sewers), whoo!! I know y’all horn-downers are sobbing angrily over the future behind your “chill guy” mask. Can’t wait for next year.🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 Nattys plural here we come!
🤘🤘🤘
This is why people don’t like Texas fans
You're the reason everyone hates Texas
Texas defense gonna come with a vengeance in my opinion. They didn’t allow 300 yards all year and took a miracle effort by Clemson qb to put 400+ on them in basically all garbage time. I think asu gets held under 250 yards of offense. I think Quinn looks like a first pick of the draft (fraudulently) and Texas handles asu 38-9
9 is wild lol
Some guy who knows Texas inside out said Texas changed their defensive scheme in the 2nd half against Clemson. I believe he called the first half scheme a nascar package and dropped it in the 2nd half. Just maintaining a victory in the 2nd half I suppose.
On avg TEX gives up 12pts a game. @dmanletsgo
@@dmanletsgo Not really, ASU gets a FG at some point, then a late TD and goes for 2 and doesn't make it.
@ ASU is going to score more than one TD lol
If Texas can minimize penalties and consistently run the ball they’ll win those self inflicted wounds did it to them in that second game vs Georgia
The SEC was way over hypes this year.
Yeah you should put some money on it. Maybe you win back the money you lost on Iowa State??
Texas 45 ASU 10. RTR
I don’t know why Sark gives people like Pate the time of day, hes not keeping it real.
I think my Texas Longhorns beats the Arizona State Wildcats in the Peach Bowl convincingly
Who?
If Quinn plays C- we still win by 10. Defense and running game are too good.
Just like those two Georgia losses. Send me some of the drugs you’re smoking.
I’m picking ASU moneyline.

You speak English for a living. Learn to correctly conjugate the Present Perfect. Many who watch you probably think that you must be speaking correctly. You owe it to those viewers who look up to you to speak English correctly. ESPECIALLY during a recorded video. This isn't an interview that was reposted after being broadcast live.
English teachers and ESL students would appreciate it. 👍
Oh ffs...take that garbage to your nerd forums. We don't need it here, Poindexter.
Texas will put second string in late and AZ will get junk points
i see Boise beating PSU more than ASU beating Texas. Longhorns roll 42-28

Arizona for the upset like a big upset look at the big upset was pulled by michigan yesterday
@@bradkates9187 Close, but no cigar….. your fortune teller lied to you…
Well, let's see what Pate's prediction is gonna be. I wonder who it will be. Will he keep feeding off the tx teet or take a risk?
EDIT:
Not true on the lopsidedness leading to scratching your head at the score. In tx two losses they averaged 1.1 yards/carry with approximately 60 rushes, totaling approximately 60 yards. The passing yards in the second game against GA for Ewers would lead you confused to the score but definitely not the rushing yards. Tx got their shit kicked in when running the ball against GA.
That has nothing to do with TEX playing ASU
