Leeching Poison applies only to units with the melee tag in their traits. You can see the traits list if you tap unit details and scroll to the 4th dot. Hogger has the melee trait, Thaurissan does not have the melee trait (he is considered ranged despite attacking at melee). Gargoyle does not have the melee trait. They wanted to differentiate melee, flying, and ranged units. If the unit has the melee trait, all damage it deals contributes to life steal for the relic. This makes AoE units very tanky since the more units they face, the more life steal sources they have. I think in the case of poison units, it attributes the entire poison stack to the melee unit regardless of how many stacks it applied. Abomination and Hogger can apply poison, so they can get some massive healing if the dots stack really high. Fire Ele with immolation aura heals a lot too.
Really cool. Thank you (i dont have the poison talent)
its cheese if you can grab lifesteal relic... 🤔
Great strat! Unfortunately I dont have the poison talent on my Hogger
Yeah that is what makes it a cheese strat unfortunately.
Me too.
Cool video though.
something is wrong with relics... theyre not changing anymore... switch the whole squad and the same relics for the last hour...
Doesn't work every time. Gotta check back after midnight if they don't change. Some Relics can flex because they are targeted at specific minis.
Checked today, still no lifestealing. Will try til the end hehe
@@forg3 Good luck, I spent all of yesterday trying to make Charlga work. Dungeon is fickle.
i wish someone would explain how leeching poison/lifesteal actually works lol

@@omeleet1917 thank you but does that mean that it gets heled every time the melee unit attacks?
Yep! Any time the melee unit deals damage, even from the poison dot. @@mirandasworld
Great under level run
