You mentioned how your style had changed a lot..I was thinking that might be a good future video topic? Maybe compare your style age 30 to your style in your twenties, what has changed, what hasn’t and show examples of your favorite outfits now for everyday, dressing up, sleepwear, special occasion etc. just an idea 😊 I know as a long time subscriber I’d love to hear about that sort of evolution in your personality because it’s kind of like watching your friends grow up and seeing how their style changes gradually through time

Mad props to you Elle! Your TH-cam career has really grown up (as we all have with you!) and I love that instead of being sad about the "good old days" you're moving your channel to match what you love currently as opposed to staying with what you know. You daring to branch into new videos and showcase these life changes and process through them openly is super encouraging! We all miss who we were in 2008 following beauty videos but praise God that we're now grown ass independent women who can still put on gorgeous make up and then go change the world through our marriages, motherhood, career, friendships and beyond! :)

A good tip I learned is to take pics of sentimental things you love but will never wear/use and then give them away. That way the memory stays with you always without taking up any space but the item goes to a good home.

Just a tip, but don’t base your decision on how much you paid for it. I know it’s harder to part with something you paid a lot for but if you’re not wearing it you might as well give it someone who will love it or try selling it for some extra money

I'm SO glad you are back. You and Blaire were the first TH-camrs I ever watched, starting in middle school. Also I was an AXO at UGA so we are SISTERSSSSS. I'm actually graduated from college now and going to law school in the fall. It's crazy how far you have come from your college days to now with the lil baby!

I'm so inspired to clean out my jewelry collection now. I've literally hoarded things from when i was like 14 and I'm turning 26 this year. Also I'm currently pregnant and have developed an allergy to non-gold jewelry. Just another reason to get rid of all my cheap costume jewelry that I never wear anymore!
Oh my gosh, I remember the ring from the 17 photoshoot!! I think it was highlighted in the magazine, but if not it was shown in one of your videos or something because I remember wanting it SO bad! Such fun memories.

Oh wow, I remember the days when those Bauble Bar style bracelets were so in. I still think they're cute though. But looking back over the old costume jewellery and crazy necklaces, its funny how fashion moves on so quick. I remember when long necklaces with a pendant on the end were the thing, and now its all about shorter dainty fine jewellery and chokers. Ha!
was JUST thinking about this! Crazy to think dainty delicate gold pieces will be "out" in a few years just the way those long chain and crazy tacky statement pieces are now!
I just recently did a declutter of my jewelry! I’m 29 and am a “career woman”...just wasn’t interested in all the costume pieces and cheaper jewelry I would wear in highschool and college. I totally understand changing tastes.

I don’t know if your going to ever see this before all the jewelry get throw out, BUT for your memory keepsake jewellery, why not put it in a frame and display in your house as part of decor? That way they can be on display instead of in your drawer!

I'm only 3 1/2 min in and I just want to say, I used to be so over the top with my jewelry and people comment that I don't wear that stuff anymore. And sometimes I feel like " I kinda let myself go " but I appreciate this video. No, I haven't let myself go, I just outgrew it. I would've loved your costume jewelry 5-10 years ago but now I'm just simplistic with a few great pieces. Thanks Elle for this video

Open up a poshmark or Mercari account! Ive made SO much money selling things I didn’t even think were worth anything, and I feel like it made me realize how much stuff I have that I don’t need. Especially accessories like this! I feel like you kept a lot of pieces just because you paid more for them or “just because” but truly you probably don’t need them and you’d be surprised how much spare change you’ll make! And then of course donate what doesn’t sell.

Some of this jewelry will be really fun for a daughter to play dress up/tea party. When I was little my mom would like me and my friends dress up in old dress and jewelry and would have tea parties. Those are some of my favorite childhood memories!!!
Be ruthless with decluttering! You will feel better. If things you don’t use are in your house, they keep good energy from being present.

The thing about the chunky sparkly necklaces, they can really dress up any black tee or plain shirt, so I think of it as an extension of your wardrobe. you see a lot of shirts with stones like that sewed in, so why not keep those so you can mix and match with different shirts. I am glad you kept a lot of them
