The high-voltage election campaign continues across the country as the first phase of polls to elect MPs to the 18th Lok Sabha begins on April 19. Preparations are underway for the first round, where a total of 102 seats across 21 states and union territories will go to the polls. Polling teams have started leaving for booths, especially in remote areas. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, other BJP leaders, and opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, and other star campaigners are also busy with their hectic campaigning events. Starting from April 19, the Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases, with the last one on June 1, 2024. The results will be announced on June 4
