- TRUMP LATEST NEWS: New video has surfaced showing the shooter on a rooftop moments before former President Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.
The Department of Homeland Security's inspector general said it has opened an investigation into the Secret Service's handling of security. Investigators are looking into the handling of security for former President Donald Trump.
20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to get within 135 meters of the stage where Trump was speaking when he opened fire.
Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle said the agency understands the importance of the review ordered by President Joe Biden and will participate in it as well with congressional committees looking into the shooting that happened in Pennsylvania.

Some how they lost him in some empty buildings. He was called a threat 26 minutes before Trump went on stage. The counter snipers were told to stand down when they reported him. The counter sniper was fired for doing his job. The only gate that had access to the snipers location was locked. A clear line of site was left open for the sniper, it could have had a campaign sign or something blocking the view. Security was cut because a Jill Biden rally was going on the same day. Since conservatives do not tend to burn cities down there was no reason to beef up her security. They had agents that could not cover President Trump. A lot of stock market actions with Truth Social happened the Friday before. This is the best report you can do? Where are the investigative reporters? All we get is glorified interviewers.
