Tebow was great. He wasn't given a real chance. It wasn't just that Tebow had a way of winning games in silly ways. The defense literally believed god was working against them and for tebow. It's something that can't be measured. But it was an actual phenomenon. I found it hilarious. I knew he wasn't elite in the traditional sense, but he was winning situations most people fail at. And ultimately many games are close, and are won with those attributes from the player. Especially qb. tebow had that. He was a winner and made plays.

I had to endure the Tim Tebow hype from Skip Bayless and ESPN. It was Clear he was good Enough for a stacked UF team but was NOT an NFL QB. That is no judgment on TT as a person, just a critique of his play. It took until the conclusion of his NFL career to prove that. I have never heard Skip Bayless cop to this. SB's ego never allows for him to consider that he may be wrong and also allows him to be disrespectful.

Cris Carter changed the game -> Never heard of anybody toe-tapping before him as a way to stretch the field horizontally and now I'm guessing that the coaches require that of their WRs! If not, it's a major part of the game!
Carter also played most of his career with QBs that were not championship caliber QBs(Randall never proved that he was an NFL SB winning QB or that he waa able to get you there--neither did Moon).
In addition, you have to have enough offense/defense even if you have the QB in place. This may also require that there are no major drops in a critical close game(Moss dropped a key TD in that playoff game with ATL and had another deep ball in OT that some WRs make)! If Moss makes either of those plays, they are playing VS Denver(barring an ATL onside kick recovery). Not to mention, Andersen's FG miss! And, Green keeping John Randall in too long in the Cards playoff win...
And, to be honest, Elway played like crap in the big game! Maybe a Vikings strategy would have been to play 8[sometimes 9] in the box to try to slow TD down and make Elway beat them. This is a logical strategy since they would not want what happened to the Bills in SB 25 to happen to them; they could not allow Denver to bleed the clock(it causes fewer possessions for a high octane offense and it is a classic rhythm breaker).Then, even if Elway played a very good game(defying every bit of logic available), the Vikings could still outscore them! If he plays like he did in every other SB game, the Vikings would rout! So, to say that Carter has no ring: if everything goes like it should have in the 98-99 season, they likely are the SB champions!

Skip was so out of line with his attack on CC, but he was right in what he was trying to say about Tebow. Tebow might have been the most competitive and ferocious player in the history of all sports.
