Dude that mini power bank with the little solar panels on it. The orange power brick that's not 25,000 mAh ,I have tha same one I used a voltage detector to run it to charge it and it came out at about 14,000 mAh. Good video. I'm thinking about buying those solar panels so thank you!❤😊

Obviously for a solar panel to perform at (close to) its optimum, it needs to be in the sun at an optimal angle… I imagine that kajaking involves passages under tree canopees. So there you wil lose a significant amount of charging capacity… happy to know that you did amnage to charge some powerbanks withis this little array… ❤

I have this and it's the first portable solar charger I've tried. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it and it surprised me with its usefulness for charging power banks and phones. It could even power a raspberry pi. Even on a partly cloudy day, I've got my 15,000 mAh power bank charged from 0% to around 65% in 9-10 hours. Usually at least 50% most days which can charge my iPhone 12 and 13 Mini phones at least twice

hi, nice review. I have a couple different portable solar charges...I'd encourage you to check out Sun Jack. I have a couple 25 watt panels which I bought with two 10K MaH power banks and in full sun, it charges the FULL powerbank in less than 5 hours. Plus the Sunjack is lighter simply because it's smaller and it's right around the same price for just the solar panel as the FlexSolar.... It's also water proof...I live in Oregon part of the year and in Mexico part of the year. I have a couple that i've used for several years now. I also like Goal Zero but they are a bit too expensive to take out on the water...anywho, thanks for the reivew and check out Sun Jack when you have a minute...I've done a pretty good review on both the Goal Zero and Sun Jack on my TH-cam channel as well. Take care,

Excellent real life review power banks have a max charge rate usually about 20 W. So that panel is probably just about maxing it out under full sun.

Actually my powerbank can do 65W but 40W is already enough for recharge something

I recommend a rugged phone with a big battery for those adventures.

Is this a waterproof system? How did you protect your panel connections and the devices while charging?

Yea the panel is waterproof. The panel connection I had tucked away from water and rain. Then had going straight into a waterproof bag located under the panels.

You've got to tilt the panels at least 45 degrees to the sun for optimal performance. Having it on a kayak is pretty flat. 🛶 It won't work as well....
