He continually kills me with possibly the worst use of a gorgeous intimated acoustic guitar with what I am to assume is a distortion pedal, doubtful tube rattle.. but it’s horrendous. I don’t mean on this song necessarily he hasnt used it yet. But if he’s using that pedal three times a set even- it’d make me drop my beer on the ground from shock and awe number one and two… I’d go to my car and put on my headphones to goose or even the pizza tapes. That being said he’s a great flat picker, though you can throw a nickel in any direction on Nashville’s main strip and hit 5 studio musicians that play just as well. That is on god. I think he could truly replace Mayer in years if the dead don’t all croak. Just the fact Jerry also started on bluegrass is why I say that alone.
