I married a Korean and we have interracial children. BUT he was so abusive, and after some time I couldn’t take it anymore and I divorced him. Cultural differences or not, no one should be a battered wife. Know your worth.
I have heard many story of korean men physically and verbally abusive towards foreigner wife's and girlfriend. American, white, Filipino, vietnamese, chinese women etc
I used to live and work in Singapore during the 80’s. I met my American husband through blind date that was set up by a friend. We were both in our 20’s and dated for 2 years before we got married. We are both single , None of us had any relationships or divorces from someone in the past. I didn’t know anything about my husband until we got married. With his good looks, athletic prowess, quite and gentleman. I discovered he was a nuclear scientist, a nuclear reactor and propulsion. His high IQ, is the one that attracts me the most. He had written me so many love letters when we were apart. He speaks several foreign languages as he had travelled a lot. We have a son, who is exactly like my husband and was mistaken by many as Hollywood actor from the movie SpiderMan Andrew Garfield. We visited the Philippines in 2007, ladies in the neighborhood are coming around just to see him. My son is very bashful and very private. Like his father. My husband passed away in 2020, we’ve married for 31 years it was our first marriage for both. I’m so blessed having my American husband. It’s like a true story of Cinderella.

Delighted for JK and Katie. Their beautiful kids will be trilingual and down to earth. She knows the industry, but isn't a slave to it. He wants strong family. How perfect it is that they have the ability to be together.
To everyone being weird in the comments: Europeans and non Korean Asians are the most common visitors in Korea. That's why they're the most common couples. If more people of other races had interest to come over, it would be more common. And most people tend to like their own race most. Then after that, those that resemble their own race most.
Sadly interracial couples are only acceptet if the man is Korean. If a female Korean celebrity would have a non Korean boyfriend or husband then there would be a huge scandal.

Well, back then they had the tradition, that a first born child should be married with another Korean and not a foreigner. The tradition is not common anymore and more and more Koreans chose a foreigner and first borns are also allowed to marry a foreigner. But becasue it's meanwhile through Kpop and Kdrama a little problrem for foreigners to date in Korean, coz there are Koreans out there who just have a fetish about dating foreigners. Means if you have bad luck you date a Korean who has a foreign fetish. If you get deeper into the Korean culture and know that they were for years kinda like isolated, then you know, what am telling you right now
Here in Hawaii, we have every national. Mixed marriages of different nationals are so common. I, being originally born in Busan, grew up in all American family and surroundings. I have only dated and married Caucasian men. This may be due to me not being exposed to other nationals growing up.
I'm a black woman engaged to a Korean guy, and financially we are just trying to make ends meet right now. Firsthand going through the process of paying for legal fees, travel fees, visas, etc etc... it is disheartening to see videos like this sometimes. Being rich expedites the whole process and likely the foreign spouse doesn't have to worry about working or having a job, waiting for approval to work. I've even heard people tell my fiance that he "can do better than me"...as of saying that if he has to date a foreigner at least he should date another east asian or white woman. When these celebs marry rando white women it feels like a double layer of racism and classism and yeah honestly it's not healthy and i am trying to manage it, but i feel jealous.

@@likhwezititus well it's depressing in that the only iinterracial relationships depicted here were AMWW, and most of the "foreign" spouses were still East Asians so there wasn't really any difference from being Korean ethnicity. It would have been nice to see other interracial couples represented.
@@hotcurrypie I understand but we don't need that we are beautiful and wether not a korean man marries one of us doesn't determine that. Don't worry abt it😘😊
It's what their society values but people are still people and I've seen Koreans with brown and black people though they gave more hardships than when they're with white or East Asian spouses.
@@priscilla8068 yeah I’m not saying that all Koreans are doing this. I’m just pointing out that the video isn’t representing any of that and it’s a shame. I know Korean men don’t always go for white women. I’ve dated Korean men some that were from Korea itself and others that are Korean Americans. I’ve dated other Asian ethnic men too. So yes I agree it’s the culture and for the culture to change it needs to be called out.
have any celebs ever dated or married a black person
No. Koreans only worship and revere white people.
