After completing the game with all characters (including Isildur), I used cheat codes to have infinite health & arrows. Made my gameplay more exciting.
The hardest mission for me was the Gates of Moria (took me a while to figure out how to kill the octopus), and the first segment of Helms Deep, where you are on the top of the wall. On the other hand, Amos Hen was the funnest level for me, even on Hard difficulty. It's so satisfying having a cluster of enemies grouped together and you spam your AAY and X until you cap Perfect meter. Sadly, because Amos Hen was my most played level, I broked the loading screen; it is harder to move to the next level if I were to restart from the ground up. XD

Such an underrated game. Shadow of mordor is good and all, but it doesn't quite feel like a LOTR game. The orcs/uruks look so much better in this game compared to shadow of mordor.
Christopher Alan graphics wise I agree but in terms of sticking to the source material these orcs were the best looking I mean honestly the WB games and films for this universe are horrible shadow of Mordor and war are good games but the lore is all wrong like the names of the Nazgûl and all that is just completely off but the orcs some are quite cool but a lot of them look like the CGI crap put into the hobbit films
+Drow Genesis return of the king was good too, but for some reason I liked the two towers better, I think it's because the levels are more simpler and shorter. return of the king had a lot of levels that took forever to complete

They couldn't have taken the Eagles to Mordor because they would have surely died, the only reason the Eagles came during the end after the ring was destroyed was because the Eye of Sauron was also destroyed, and the Fellbeasts had left. If they would have flew in there before then not only would there be thousands of Orc's shooting arrows at them but the Nazgul and their Fellbeasts would have killed them too.
As I recall, there was only one scrolling level in the game, and a damn good one at that. It added a lot of tension and was difficult as hell, which made beating it so satisfying. It also depicted what happened in the movie, even if that scene was much shorter than the level.
Who else played this first bit by running to the top of the ruin, to the corner of its roof and spammed arrows at any Uruk who ran up the stairs or was running on the ground? I did and I always beat it within at most two minutes with no health lost. Good memories, sniping them to death as a little kid.

When I was a kid I hated the Uruk-Hai so much and I feared the Uruk-Hai Berserkers so much the ones that swing that giant 2 handed blade around you. I hated them because they were so hard to beat when I was little . This was one of my first games too when I was like 5 or 6. Still one of the best ps2 games in my opinion and probably thee best movie game ever made . This return of the king and king kong were the nest movie games. All peter jackson movies lol. But I do love the Uruk-Hai in general . My favourite army I ever seen in film and game .

Why didn't you purchase Isildur's Swift Terror? It's an easy three-hit combo that works great against unshielded enemies like the Uruk-Hai that are everywhere in this level.
I remember when I 1st purchased this game coming back from an 8th grade Trip to Ottawa. Decided to buy the game 2 more times over these past years Because the disk kept getting scratched And overused. My brothers and I would take turns As we progressed through the levels. The books In their engrossing detail, The movies Bringing together a cinematic portrayal, And the games In their own way delivery will hold a Place in both heart and memory.
The hardest level in the game was Saurman's tower. Completing it with Legolas, his combat level in this game was just awkward and awful lol. Helms deep was the second hardest, making sure the entire wall was orc - free.
This level scared the crap out of me! I was playing as Aragorn and I went into a secret area inside a hollowed out log when suddenly this Uruk hai with a pale face and a big sword ambushed me! Ahhhhhh! I thought it was Jason Vorhees!

Return of the King was anything but crappy, it was an amazing game.

The only scrolling level was the path of the dead on co-op unless I'm mistaken, so that's definitely not too much of a concern.

Try looking around more for hidden boxes and use more mobes to get more excellents and perfects makes it way better

If this game released now with free roaming map, maybe this mission gives you two objectives : go after frodo, or defeat all orcs until paths opened.
You need to kill certain ammount of Uruks, otherwise they find Frodo. But its free roam, so there is no time limit. You can do it anytime.
