    Mate you’ve just shifted how I hear the Rav Vast, love it mate, can see how as a drummer I can get into a Rav next.

      The cool thing about it is you can make it however you want really. If your a drummer you will take to it in no time mate

    Good tips Robert, thanks for taking the time to do this. I've started doing something similar some of the time, other times I tend to go for a more free ranging pieces that aren't constrained by a single beat structure. Working on songs this way certainly makes it easier to play with others, so definitely a necessary skill. Great tip on not filling everything up with notes at first, less is definitely more on this instrument, give yourself some space to work with. Take care!

      That’s good to have a few different methods, sometimes also just doodling whilst not really paying attention can lead to some cool new melodies. Definitely when I was watching back I thought I should have said ‘less is more’ that’s so true. Keep it up !
