To all veterans that have served and still serving from an aging military kid I thank you for the time you served and still serving, and that I believe what you seen while serving. Let's just say this you don't have to explain anything to me I just know.
As being active duty Army, I have a lot of paranormal stories to tell. For short I was pulling staff duty from 0900 to 0900 and closer to the end of the shift 0200ish I walked upstairs to clean the latrine, and I heard boots behind me with no one there. They sounded older and heavy not like the new lightweight boots we have but they kept following me until I got back downstairs to my post. That is the short version of the story there was no one there the rest of the Soldiers, the three of us they were down stairs.

I’m an active duty army soldier, my grandpa passed in January. I took my spirit box into the barracks and did a spirit box session. After 15 minutes of nothing I caught a voice which sounded like my grandpa saying “helloooo!” It was crazy to me. I have the recording.

I went to boot camp in Orlando in 78. We wore those awful working uniforms back then. Yeah I'm old. Our company commander had just come back to work because a girl in her previous unit had committed suicide. I remember when the CC came in to talk to us for the first time she told us that we were safe and she and no one else would ever hurt us while she had the watch. She said she might hurt our feelings but no one would ever put their hands on us. And she made it clear that if any of us felt that we couldn't handle it all we had to do was talk to her or the 2nd Class Petty Officer that was her assistant. She never said that we could quit and go home but we all knew that was what she meant. Later on the 2nd Class told us what had happened. It made us all fiercely protective of both of our company commanders and nobody quit. No one ever claimed to see or hear anything spooky. We did scare the crap out of each other when we stood watch though!
When my 2nd cousin was KIA in Vietnam, his parents were residing in Texas. While driving to Iowa for the funeral, they drove into a blizzard before spending the night at a hotel. The next morning, my great-aunt's husband told her, "I talked to Kenny last night, it's okay to go." They continued with their drive, and sure enough, the blizzard and roads cleared after they left! Also, while I was serving in the Army, my platoon was spending a month at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA doing ammunition support for troops who were training. One morning I was feeling very depressed and unhappy for no apparent reason, and later that day we got news that another soldier (whom I happened to be particularly close battle buddies with) in our company back at Fort Carson, CO had been killed in a car accident the night before.

(Sergeants often mess with recruits now by hanging blue glowsticks up in the distance at night to make it seem like eyes) there is a couple stories you can read online, long story short there is a grave on the base for a girl who died when she was 16 and was playing in the fields, (long before the area was a military base) while running home she fell in a well and couldn't get out and died of hypothermia. The story I heard was a couple guys were doing a night patrol (training) and heard a female voice calling for help and they went to check it out, (it's not too hard to see a civilian unknowingly coming onto the training area as some of the fenced areas are abit worn out) while bushwalking following the voice the guy infront fell down a well. He had minor injuries but they got him out and he was alright for the most part. If I remember correctly 3 or 4 people have had similar experiences where they would fall down the well and need help getting out, so much so that the well is now fenced off.

Pendleton is riddled with ghosts. So is Parris island. Most marine bases are. The Rifle range of Parris island has some horrible stories and ghosts that are older than the drill instructors.

Hahaha! I was an Ammo troop in the Air Force ( 461, not the later 2W0 AFSC). That second story was probably at Luke AFB, NM.
