Fun to see the unboxing I hadn’t seen that yet!
So nice in person when you come out check it out
I was hoping the torque would be close to a forced rotation, and it looks like it's close enough for us. I will order mine now
I really like it bro especially if you're doing one step or quick jobs
It is not close to a forced rotation. On any curved surface it stalls like crazy. I think the backing plate design might be cause as it has no padding and is slightly larger than a traditional 5" plate. This issue is worse as you go down to 2 level in battery charge.
@@DrCeramicDallassometimes i think that they send stronger versions to youtube testers and that the retail.version is tuned down for machine longevity or something else because my hlr15 stalls a lot more than that.
Looks awesome ,appreciate the unboxing and review definitely gonna get one this summer.
I would try to get 3 batteries been using it work great
It feels like opening a new toy!!! Dope video 🔥🔥🔥
You already Know you need to try it.
Welp the boss got a hlr21 and the velcro sucks so now im shopping for a compatible backing plate. Battery kinda gets in the way too, good thing the paint on this rolls royce is solid as a rock 😂
I definitely need to try for sure
What would you recommend for Range Rover paint? Pad up or down? Light or heavy compound?
@@NathanJudson polish with a aggressive bad if it has heavy defects it's a medium hard paint
Let me see it on, let’s say contours of a hood and not stall…
Power really falls off on the last battery bar but it’s smooth machine
Exactly. Even on 2 bars left rotation is limited at 5 and who knows what the torque numbers are. It is never as powerful as the Mark III at least with these batteries. We will see if the ibrid adapter will change that as it does with their nano machine.
@@DrCeramicDallas this is so weird. I need to test my machines more, just done one car with them, but i didnt notice those things you say.
What brand grease and type would you use for these new ones or should you even change it in them?
On a Rupes? Pretty sure they use good quality grease.
Nice video btw..!!
Thanks!🙏🏽
“I don’t even remember how much I paid for it” true consumer right there
2 issues keep this off my wish list, the battery position and pad stalls in the places it really shouldn’t. Beautiful tool though.
@@cyclechris6591 good tool just not replacing the electric for sure has its place
Im surprised you kept pushing on a flat panel when we only run into stalling problems on curved panels.
I own one and I can tell you that it definitely stalls and almost completely stops rotating on any curved edge. I have done the "washer mod" to it and it has improved it significantly but it still is not as good as the corded Mark III.
Not worth it been using one for a month it's starting too surge on a full charge. It's smooth and light but nothing like the OG.
Facts I feel you . Only good for little jobs.
