Should’ve just switched off when I saw Cech. Even with less thought than you guys I came up with: Bravo (Man City), Bogarde (Chelsea, cost around 750k a game, he made 12 appearances), Woodgate (Real Madrid, 1.5m per game excluding wages), Jo (Man City, 900k per game excluding wages).
You think like I think....I study the data... The world witnessed the ethical turning point in Alexis Sanchez's career when he posted his "I'm sick" photo instead of showing up for practice at Arsenal, summer 2017. I would have swapped him for a half eaten bag of crisps immediately.....
Normally FD is one of my favourite channels, but this is crap. Please keep to factual content, because this is some of the worst most opinionated content I've ever seen. Seriously you guys are capable of incredible content, and these overly click-baited and opinionated videos let you down and make you seem like you are just chasing views rather than trying to be high quality journalists.
Roberto soldado, Lazar Markovic, Hatem Ben Arfa at PSG, Bebe, Charles N'Zogbia, Park Chu Young, Lee chung Yong, Gervinho, Memphis depay, lago Aspas at Liverpool, Steven Jovetic etc
1. Cech not a waste of money at 14m, a bad defence doesn't make Cech a bad goalkeeper not to mention his two top quality seasons - Kepa was far more qualified for this spot as he's 23 and cost 70mil, despite having very little known about him other than he's spanish. 2. Odriozola, not a waste of money at 35m, given the potential he could go on to fulfil. He was bought to add depth to the team as Real have failed in La Liga due to the strain of UCL. Just cause Carvajal is brilliant, doesn't mean Odriozola's a bad signing. 3. Alexis Sanchez - Was replaced by both Mkhitaryan (who's been far more effective) and Aubameyang as a wide left player (who's scored far more than he has) - not a waste of money for Arsenal, definitely a waste for United.
But what they were specifying for Sanchez is that Arsenal should've just taken the money from man city or from another club and bought either a young ascending player or an established star instead of mkhi which hasn't been bad but for the wages we are paying, its just not good enough and i agree with what they have to say the Sanchez situation was dealt with really badly by Arsene and we could've taken that money and bought a wide player like malcom or sterling or many others and have them paired with Auba and Lacazette.
Alex Gærtner No we didn’t that cash was all from the sales we had made earlier idk if you remember but we had made a last minute bid for Lemar but we could have sold Sánchez and still would have been able to buy Auba and another player which would have been a wide player since Arsène just focused on scoring and not defending
I'd only replace Mahrez with Andre Gomes and Fellaini with Wayne Rooney. Cause Man City are trying to go for that Champions League and they wanted some wide creative talent and Everton for putting Rooney on that massive contract
Odriozola is still young and not at the level of Carvajal. He's not a waste of money though because of Carvajals issue with injury, as if the physical injuries weren't bad enough, last season he also struggled with a heart condition and sadly it's not a guarantee that he'll be able to play the regular timespan a player of his quality should. Nacho can cover right back and excels at it but with Ramos and Varane being as prone as they are to getting booked and banned as they are we still had several games where we had to rely on Achraf who is not really ready to be playing in crucial games. I don't think its a waste of money but definitely for odriozola he could've picked another club which would've given him more game time
Sanchez's sale was amazing for arsenal since they gor mkhitaryan and then used miki to tempt aubameyang. Would never have gotten auba without the chance to link up with his dortmund bro.
I thought you all were a little hard on Peter Cech. Arsenal's defense blows and many goals given up weren't his fault. His performance slid last season, but I'm thinking that's a temporary lull. I would say that Cech is still a pretty solid keeper.
U are mental...Ronaldo already gave Juventus a lot of money in shirt sales and advertising!plus he was bought for the champions league because they have already won the serie A 7 times in a row
3 goals in 21 games, that sure is a great start for a class player xD. Plus it's not like he has bad players around him or that he needs to adapt to the epl. He fucked up by leaving and if he doesn't perform this season, united will 100% try to sell him as he will turn 30 this season and gets 500k for nothing in return.
Odriozola? You do realize he is hailed as the next Carvajal, and essentially funnelled all Real Sociedad's attacks last season. Carvajal has also always performed at a higher level with competition. Now i am not on Stat Wars, but i would say that should count for something... I also find it strange you would choose odriozola over Vinicius Jr who is far riskier given his lack of game time (especially when he was bought)
City bid for Sanchez on the last day of the transfer window, there's no way Wenger could have sold him without bringing in a replacement and given that Lemar wanted more time to consider his options, there was only one reasonable outcome. Also- don't get it twisted- Mkhitaryan is younger than Sanchez.
Sanchez is a great player. He is not a waste of money, and worth every 500k a week. Martial is good for his age, but Sanchez produces more assists, he centers the ball. Martial is only good for one half.
Sanchez has had a terrible start tho. I think he has 4 assists and 3 goals in 21 games for united since he joined. That isn't a good ratio for Sanchez. He is averaging one goal every seven games for united. At arsenal it was one goal every two games. You guys have paid him 13mil since jan + signing fee for 7 goal contributions. that's nearly 2 mil per goal/assist.
GameBros Ⓡ I agree Sanchez does not have an outstanding season , but I see his leadership game in and out. Now Pogba is very inconsistent, and sometimes I rather have Mata. Lukaku is not having a phenomenal start, but I see that he gives 100%. I see all Manchester United games and sometimes other premier league teams, because the league is exciting to watch.
Backup for an injury prone right back with heart problems? Real Madrid light in midfield with Modric,Kroos,Isco,Casemiro,Ceballos and Llorente, with even Nacho capable in defensive midfield?
LOL, he's eating away nearly half a million pounds every week to barely play like 15-30 minutes a match. He's arguably the biggest waste of money in Premier League history!
Thomas Hughess he is not playing 30 min . This is not what he s getting paid for m he gets paid those money to be a part of the club and to respect a contract that has lots of clauses...not only for playing 1 game/week. If you put it like that , you're slow..(i m not a man u fan..don t really fancy them )
Stop comparing them with other players. Some of them just joined new clubs for christ sake. Wasn't this the same channel that was talking about John stones' first season at man city... then months later this same channel said he was a bargain under pep.
Might be calling Lindelof early, but not Odrizola? Hmm. So is a player deemed a waste not because of his play or output, but rather because his club should have spent the money fortifying a position other than his own? That seems strange.
Petr cech just wasn’t a waste of money. Until last season he has been excellent and this season again has been superb. Just because he’s not as good with his feet doesn’t mean that he was a waste of money especially considering he is actually improving his footwork
People Forget That Alexis Wages Are High However Man Utd Also Got Rid Of Mkihtaryans Wages So It Balances Out Plus No Transfer Fee When It Would Usually Cost 60million Plus 300k a week for sanchez.
Cech hasn't been that bad of a signing for Arsenal but has been made to look bad due to wenger failing to build a solid defence and then now that emery has come in he wants him to be comfortable on the ball with his feet which just isn't going to happen because that is not his strength in goalkeeping!
Odriozolas addition makes no sense to be in this list, Carvajal has proven to be slightly injury prone and they need a high level player to rotate with him.
You think Cech had a worse career at Arsenal than Claudio Bravo in Man City? And apart from that you say that Lerma who has just been bought is a waste of money but Bakayoko who had been bad all season for Chelsea isn't? Zach, it's so clear that you're a Chelsea fan. You have to reconsider this XI.
Cech, Odriozola, Lerma? What are they doing here? Cech's value was peanuts anyway. Arsenal got at least 1 good-very good years from him. Odrizola and Lerma just came in and are very young. No proof they were a waste.
Bruh Madrid have four center backs, two Right backs and one left back. Carvajal is a little injury prone to so that’s why we needed another fullback. You expect caravjal to play 50+ games a season?!???? You are out of your mind
Victor Lindelöf is a Young player and you can’t say it’s waste of money. He have good future. He will be a great back. In 1-2 years You will se. Remember this comment. *Sorry for My bad english*
How can you say Jefferson Lerma is a waste of money when he hasn’t even played a season yet? If he goes on to have great defensive stats and is a pivotal part of the Bournemouth Defense will he be a waste of money? No. So how is he a waste of money before you seeing him play? Where the hell is the logic in the utter dribble
So Odriozola is a waste of money, because having a backup for their Right-back position isn't needed?! That's a really dumb claim, Carvajal has had a few longterm injuries over the past few seasons, so a backup is needed. Hakimi being sent out of loan, and Nacho also being the main backup for center-back and maybe even left-back (depending on how big a role Reguilón will be having), I see Odriozola as a great backup to be getting for Madrid. Madrid only have 8 defenders in their squad, so it's not like they're overflowing with backups anyway. Besides you mention them being left thin on midfield, but last year they were flooded and they've only let go of one midfielder. so far it looks like Ceballos will be getting a bigger role than last year when he barely played, not to mention thye have Llorente as well who barely plays. In attack, yes they let go of Ronaldo, and it's a wonder why they didn't bring in a big replacement, but Asensio has been starting so far, Isco has been getting more playtime, Benzema and Bale look better than last year, and they bought back Mariano from Lyon (they did sell Mayoral though, but he was pretty bad so Mariano will most likely have a bigger role than Mayoral had last year). So to sum up: It's ok for you to think that maybe Madrid should have prioritised another position, it's ridiculous to think that one player (Carvajal) can play 90 minutes every game for a whole season. Buying a backup is never a waste of money. You can argue that they paid a lot of money for a backup, but in these days it's hard argue that they overpaid for Odriozola. Also Real Madrid have barely spent any money for the past 4 seasons. They're allowed to spend a little money now and then

Lerma? The season is I only 4 games in!? Smh
Shaun Thomas
And he said about his tackles even tho Eddie Howe wants to play possession football
Peter Čech might be a waste of money signing but don't forget the man is a legend to some
Sanchez has only been with United for half a season, but yeah, he's pretty shit.
piss off he is not
We spent the money we got from Sanchez on buying Aubameyang...
kepa will be great in the future and better than courtois, real Madrid wanted him
Alex Gærtner No we didn’t that cash was all from the sales we had made earlier idk if you remember but we had made a last minute bid for Lemar but we could have sold Sánchez and still would have been able to buy Auba and another player which would have been a wide player since Arsène just focused on scoring and not defending
Jordy The Don I remember and thank God we didn’t get Lemar
Waste Money XI
Claudio Bravo GK (City)
Danilo RB (Madrid)
Victor Lindelof CB (MU)
Eliaquim Mangala CB (City)
Luke Shaw LB (MU)
Jack Rodwell DM (City)
Danny Drinkwater CM (Chelsea)
Riyad Mahrez RM (City)
Marouane Fellaini AM (MU)
Alexis Sanchez LM (MU)
Mario Balotelli ST (Liverpool)
Luke shaw has done well this season so far just been unlucky with injuries.
Fellani and mahrez shouldn't be on it either
I'd only replace Mahrez with Andre Gomes and Fellaini with Wayne Rooney. Cause Man City are trying to go for that Champions League and they wanted some wide creative talent and Everton for putting Rooney on that massive contract
@@waleader626 I'm just thinkin that fellaini and shaw doesn't prove their potential to fill up the xi position that MU expected when they sign them...
@@DIce-dx2zy true but i would put di maria and depay as bigger flops than him
@@waleader626 Owh.. Forgot bout them hahaha...
Where’s LAKAKU and POGBA for 75m and 89m they surely been the BIGGEST flops in football😪🤦🏾♂️
This looks silly now
Cech been reliable since being at arsenal, only recently has he been poor
😂😂😂 he's been shit in every season except his first with arsenal
@@owenburton No. You must be stupid to think that.
@@starcusmcr3964 no only someone with a brain will agree with me
@@starcusmcr3964 im guessing your a arsenal fan
exactly. Bravo is defo more of a waste than Cech
Odriozola could play winger too! Carvajal gets injured every now and then, i think Odri could get enough game time
Lindelof is a great player
It’s an old video though
Odriozola is still young and not at the level of Carvajal. He's not a waste of money though because of Carvajals issue with injury, as if the physical injuries weren't bad enough, last season he also struggled with a heart condition and sadly it's not a guarantee that he'll be able to play the regular timespan a player of his quality should. Nacho can cover right back and excels at it but with Ramos and Varane being as prone as they are to getting booked and banned as they are we still had several games where we had to rely on Achraf who is not really ready to be playing in crucial games. I don't think its a waste of money but definitely for odriozola he could've picked another club which would've given him more game time
What happened to that Danilo?
He went to city
Sanchez's sale was amazing for arsenal since they gor mkhitaryan and then used miki to tempt aubameyang. Would never have gotten auba without the chance to link up with his dortmund bro.
Moratahahahahaha
Scored 15 goals in his first season
sarriball fc That’s dismal.
sarriball fc And you think that is good enough for someone that cost £55 million pounds. Even Jamie Vardy scored more
@@cameronmicahnyamuda8590 drogba scored 10 in his first season
@@cameronmicahnyamuda8590 what's dismal is you switch from supporting chelsea to support man utd
I thought you all were a little hard on Peter Cech. Arsenal's defense blows and many goals given up weren't his fault. His performance slid last season, but I'm thinking that's a temporary lull. I would say that Cech is still a pretty solid keeper.
Pogba to Man U.
deffo
watch out the triggerd kids are coming
Carvajal is injury prone, odriozola is a great signing. Nacho cant be the backup for all the defense
Put fcking penaldo there
CHELSEA FC it’s been 4 games
Actually, probably less, idk how many games Serie A is in right now
U are mental...Ronaldo already gave Juventus a lot of money in shirt sales and advertising!plus he was bought for the champions league because they have already won the serie A 7 times in a row
They probably bought ronaldo cuz they are gonna get more than 100 million dollars from shirt sales😂
@@nur2salvi na Ronaldo is well worth it anyway I don't rate the shirt sales argument like the United fans did with pogba
I like how they said it might be to early for Lindelof but literally odriazola has only been there a few months and they included him
Sanchez is class he just hasn't performed
3 goals in 21 games, that sure is a great start for a class player xD. Plus it's not like he has bad players around him or that he needs to adapt to the epl. He fucked up by leaving and if he doesn't perform this season, united will 100% try to sell him as he will turn 30 this season and gets 500k for nothing in return.
@@MegaTamer111 That's why I said he hasn't performed, but honestly him getting those 2 assists in the City game is worthy of 500k a week
Toaster 4 Sale yeah, no it isn’t.2 assists ain’t worth that money, even if it was against City
he was class but not anymore
Sanchez could improve this season as he finally ll had a full summer rest. Man plays 40+ Games a season, and has made deep tournament runs with Chile.
Sterling and Draxler should be there
How sterling's a waste of money?
Wtf, sterling was 4th topscorer as a winger last season
El Tigre he is not a flop but he wasn’t amazing like salah he was avarage and didn’t waste money
sterling??😂😂😂
Sanchez has been shit for united so far. I do think he'll get better but right now he has scored half the goals Monreal has in 2018. That is not good.
Anderson Portillo if you get 500k a week for that little output, I’d become a footballer
Anderson Portillo he hasn't been worth half of that since arriving. He hasn't done jackshit
Where is Cristiano Ronaldo.
he is the best player in the world
Where is your grammar?
Graziano Etiene You’ll have a better chance finding my grammar, then cr7 in games 🤫
Graziano Etiene 2nd best

The biggest waste this season must be Jose`s new contract!
I wouldn’t say Sanchez is a waste of money as he came on a free and we are the richest sports club in the world🤷♂️
The Human Lion 450k a week
LOL, he's eating away nearly half a million pounds every week to barely play like 15-30 minutes a match. He's arguably the biggest waste of money in Premier League history!
he has scored half the goals monreal has in 2018...
MightyMidget 759 350k actually. Doesn’t matter when you look at how rich we are.
Vinicius Junior
Might be calling Lindelof early, but not Odrizola? Hmm. So is a player deemed a waste not because of his play or output, but rather because his club should have spent the money fortifying a position other than his own? That seems strange.
First
Petr cech just wasn’t a waste of money. Until last season he has been excellent and this season again has been superb. Just because he’s not as good with his feet doesn’t mean that he was a waste of money especially considering he is actually improving his footwork
Cech?, i dont think so. Where do you put Andy Carroll, Ballotelli, Rooney (to Everton), Falcao (Manchester, Chelsea), Kaka?
Football daily logic: United signing a 29 year old on 500k pounds a week is less of a loss than Arsenal signing a 29 year old on 200k a week.
Odriozola was not a waste of money, he is a great replacement when Carvajal is injured and he is a rising talent
People Forget That Alexis Wages Are High However Man Utd Also Got Rid Of Mkihtaryans Wages So It Balances Out Plus No Transfer Fee When It Would Usually Cost 60million Plus 300k a week for sanchez.
The biggest waste of money imo was definitely Fernando Torres to Chelsea
Odriozola has been an inspiration for Madrid this season, particularly when Carvajal has been out
Cech hasn't been that bad of a signing for Arsenal but has been made to look bad due to wenger failing to build a solid defence and then now that emery has come in he wants him to be comfortable on the ball with his feet which just isn't going to happen because that is not his strength in goalkeeping!
As a fellow Chelsea fan Zach I’m surprised you didn’t add Fernando Torres
Carvajal is injury prone so Odriozola makes sense as a backup!
Odriozolas addition makes no sense to be in this list, Carvajal has proven to be slightly injury prone and they need a high level player to rotate with him.
Hold on hold on if you said Cech was let down by a shit defence in front of him how was he a shit sighing
You guys should really make a video like this but for smaller teams
Did I hear tried to give them a title chance?
Lindelof flopped first couple of months but since the start of the season he’s been quality
How can you say Jefferson Lerma is a waste of money when he hasn’t even played a season yet? If he goes on to have great defensive stats and is a pivotal part of the Bournemouth Defense will he be a waste of money? No. So how is he a waste of money before you seeing him play? Where the hell is the logic in the utter dribble
what about
Alvaro Morata
Timouthie Bakayoko
Danny DrinkWater
Danilo
What’s so wrong with Lindelöf it seems like you really have a problem with him he’s a good player so stop complaining
They're allowed to spend a little money now and then
Lost me at Cech. The biggest waste of cash Arsenal pissed away on a keeper was Richard Wright.
also sczensey is good now but was a mess when arsenal got cech, literally got caught smoking lmao
Are you mad?! Cech was immense for us his first two seasons at the Emirates. He's just worsened since but initially he did give Arsenal a title shot
