I think the words in the chorus “silicon ballrooms” say so much in just two words. It sounds like it’s referencing how we live in a digital age where a lot of our relationships are formed online as opposed to the public, and how that can lead to such toxic relationships.
I think the majority of cellphones are made with a lot of silicone. I think it’s a metaphor to two people communicating over phone like a dance a ballroom

I really like the idea behind the concept of aqua regia melting precious metals like gold harkening back to Chokehold specifically when Vessel says "I'd turn my walls to gold, To bring you home again". Pretty straightforward idea to say you'd soften up your emotional walls enough for someone to tear them down just so they'd come back but to be able to convey that idea between two different songs is absolute 🔥! Love Sleep Token!

I think much of this record is about the problem of digital waters. The internet itself dissolving our connection with each other.
